Percy's POV
The bus stopped. The man, who took over for the so to say bus driver, turned around in his seat."We are at Main Street." He said.
I nodded and picked up my small bag I packed for the journey. I slipped out of the seat and looked around the bus. Many seats were broken and dust covered the floor. I walked up to the man.
"Sorry about the mess." I said and walked down the stairs. I looked around the place.
The buildings toward over me. I could see people filling the streets. I glanced at my watch, it read: 6:53. Time to eat.
"Percy Jackson?" A man said from behind me.
I slipped my hand into my pocket where Riptide laid, "Yes?" I turned around to face him.
A lady with purple sunglasses on crossed her arms and stood with her feet evenly apart. Another lady with her brown hair in a braid was smiling to herself. A dark skinned man stood next to her smiling even brighter. A man in a suit was the one who asked the question.
I glanced back at the one with sunglasses. I made a mental note not to mess with her. The other lady on the other hand seem quite nice her hair reminded me if Annabeth. I shook my head trying to not think about it.
"We need to talk." The man in the suit said.
I tightened my grip on Riptide, "I don't think so."
"Just hear him out." They lady with the braid said.
I raised my eyebrows, that's not something monsters would say, "What?"
He took a step closer and I tensed, "I'm Phil Coulson director of shield. These are my agents, that's May," He pointed at the one with sunglasses, "Skye," He gestured towards the one with a braid, "and Triplet." He pointed the African-American one.
"Well nice to meet you, Phil, Skye, May, and Triplet but I'll bee on my way." I turned on my heel and marched the other way.
"We spoke to your mother." Coulson said.
I stopped. I turned on my heel and approached Coulson. He smiled, glad that he caught my attention.
"If you hurt her. . ." I threatened.
May grabbed my arm and I lost it. I popped Riptides cap off and yanked it out of my pocket. I put it to May's throat. She looked a little surprised then she grabbed my sword arm and twisted it. I yelped in pain and she threw me to the ground.
I groaned softly as the air left me. She put her foot to my throat. She kicked Riptide away. I tensed and studied her face. She didn't even break a sweat. She glanced at Phil with no emotion. He nodded.
"Let him up." He said.
She let off and back up a few paces. I sat up and dove for Riptide. I stood up and waved it at them. Skye back up a little and May got in the ready position with her arms up.
"Stay away from me." I warned.
"We aren't going to hurt you we just want to ask you a few questions. We didn't hurt your mother she's fine." Coulson said.
"Good now stay away cause I don't want to answer your stupid questions." I tried to cool myself.
After Annabeth died my anger issues shot up. Everything reminds of that pang or hurt I have. She was my strength and now she's gone. I didn't want to talk to these people I really just want to make a grave for Annabeth.
When I told my mother about doing something import that would save people. I lied. My real concern was building a grave in the place Annabeth called home.
