"I'm going to come up there to New York, I kinda miss your annoying ass already", King said over the phone.

"Oh you don't wanna come here if you know what I know", Jada said.

"What is that supposed to mean?", King asked.

"It means you don't wanna be no where near my dad", Jada said.

"Girl, ain't nobody worried about yo old man", King said.

"You really don't know who you dealing with do you? My dad and my step dad can have you killed right now before you even take another blink. If you think you crazy, you ain't seen crazy", Jada said.

"Oh so they OGs?", King asked. "I was wondering how you was living in that big ass house and how your step dad pulled your mom"

"What you tryna say? My step dad ugly? Or are you trying to say that my mom is a gold digger?", Jada asked.

"I ain't tryna say nothing bae. But now I see why the things I do don't phase you", King said.

"Yea", Jada said. "But like my dad literally rules this city"

"Well I run my city", King said.

"You work under someone", Jada said.

"Well the dude I work for, run this city", King said.

Jada chuckled.

"But enough about them...I miss you", King said.

"...I miss you too", Jada said

"You sure I can't come up to New York?", King asked.

"Maybe if I was staying with my Aunt but not while I'm with my dad. He'll kill me and you. Well not so much me but really you", Jada said.

"I'm still not scared of your old man. I already told you I'm crazy about you. I'm not going anywhere and neither are you", King said.

Jada was quiet. She still didn't even know if King was cheating on her or not. She didn't know if anything he said was real. Her heart and her mind was still open.

"Yea. You say that all of the time", Jada said.

"Damn right", King said.

"Let me call you back. I'm about to eat", Jada said.

"Alright. Bye", he said.

"Bye", Jada said before she hung up and opened the door and Jaclyn was standing there.

"Sorry, hey. I was about to knock on your door and ask you if you were hungry, but I kinda overheard you talking and I didn't wanna interrupt...guy friend?", Jaclyn asked. "You know I can talk to your dad and he can ease up on you dating"

"You don't know my dad do you?", Jada asked.

"Yea I do know your dad very well. He has a weak spot. I also know that he tries to listen to me", Jaclyn said

Jada shrugged her shoulders. "Alright. Whatever", Jada said.

"Okay I'll do that", Jaclyn said. "I'll do it tonight"

"You cooked?", Jada said changing the subject.

"Yea", Jaclyn said with a smile. "Some homemade lasagna"

Jada nods.

"I'm guessing my dad told you that, that was my favorite so you could get on my good side", Jada said.
