Dre had been trying to call Aaliyah all night and including the next morning. Because he didn't get a answer or call back he called Adrienne.

"Hello?", Adrienne said.

"Hey, sweetheart. How you doing?", Dre asked.

"Good", Adrienne replied.

"And your sister?", Dre asked.

Adrienne cleared her throat to keep from crying about her mom.

"She's silent", Adrienne said.

"And your mom?", Dre asked.

"She's- she's great. She's asleep right now though", Adrienne said.

"Well make sure she gives me a call then", Dre said.

"Of course", Adrienne said.

"I love you. Talk to you later", Dre said.

"Love you too, bye", Adrienne said.

Dre hung up and walked to Killa.

"I think I'm just going to head back home, man. Something doesn't feel right", Dre said.

"Really? Because I actually needed you tonight", Killa said.

"For what?", Dre asked.

"It's alright. Just go back home", Killa said.

"I was going to do that anyway", Dre said.

"Don't be a smart ass", Killa said.

Dre dapped Killa up. "It was good kickin it with you though", Dre said. "You kinda made me realize that I should just let my assumptions go and focus on the actual truth...it still doesn't cut the fact that she keeps, keeping secrets from me but...I guess I just need to start putting my foot down"

"Yea you became soft", Killa said.

"Fuck you. It's called being a married man. You should try it one day", Dre said.

"I only have one woman who can take that place", Killa said. "And we both know that will never happen again"

"Learn how to control your emotions and maybe it would", Dre said.

"Yea I guess", Killa replied.

That night...

Adrienne was pacing back and forth because she expected the guy to come back any minute. She decided to go back upstairs and into Andrea's room.

"Andrea, I know you aren't in the mood to talk but I need you too hide", Adrienne said.

"For what?", Andrea said.

"Just hide okay?", Adrienne said.

"What are we hiding from?", Dre asked.

Adrienne turned around and stood up.

"Dad? You aren't supposed to be here", Adrienne said.

Dre made a face.

"You need to leave", Adrienne said as she started panicking.

"Calm down. What's wrong?", Dre asked.

"Mom", Adrienne said as she tried to hold back her cry. "I didn't want to tell you yet because I didn't want you to come home but...mom is gone"
