Long ago, there were two great sects. But it was so long ago that only a few ancient books would contain any information about them. One was the Good luck jade sect and another Dark Blood Clan. The person who passed the few tricks of the clan to Tang Yin back then was the devilishness of the elder she met later in the ruins. It had been severed by the owner but still managed to plant a seed of the devil in Tang Yin. Although the dark magic he passed was not really that powerful. He had hinted to her about the ruins before. And all this time she had been waiting for the legacy which had finally come into her hands.
The elder had been a big variable in the war. Everyone was shocked when he revealed his techniques. People called it an evil technique with fear evident in their eyes as thousands of souls were sucked and became the foundation of the great power. But he became so lost, that he lost himself. The devil overtook him and he even took the lives of his own clan, his sense of rationality gone. Not even flesh and blood remained on the several hundred thousand skeletons around him. When he killed them all and his power was at its peak he seemed to remember something. But when he looked around his heart bled. What had he done? He wanted to save his clan...but ended up taking their lives that also so viciously.
He looked up into the sky which wasn't blue but a shade of red. He laughed, laughed in the face of heavens. What had he done? He screamed and cried but no one came back. He sat there for days, blood thrumming in his veins. Countless screams in his head which never died down. He growled and roared in madness. He didn't feel good anymore, neither did he feel sad. He just felt like a beast who had no human emotions left.
A slender figure in a green robe stood in the sky, taking in the scene, he sighed. The elder was sitting on his knees covering his ears.
"Do you want to be free of the screams in your head?" he asked in a mellow voice. The elder looked up viciously like a mad animal. He nodded and growled.
"Sever your devilishness," he said calmly. The maddened elder seemed to reminisce and howl as tears flowed down his cheeks. He severed his devilishness which vanished without a trace. The noises in his ears died down and sorrow overcame him. Everything became deathly silent. The man in a green robe vanished with a rainbow streak with a last look of pity. The world spun and he was locked in the ruins forever which moved to the mortal world.

Ji Heng and the others reached near a waterfall. A barely perceptible formation was in place. There were no weird creatures here and the formation looked like a door. They had come to the conclusion that there was still no way to open the formation even if they wanted to. Ji Heng sighed while yan Chiwu didn't care. As long as he was with Ji Heng he didn't care. Actually, he was happy. Fang Lei was the one who was a little frustrated and resigned. He often thought about Feng Jiu in these few hours.
Yes, because time here was the same as the heavenly realm. He came to the conclusion that there was a possibility they would be locked here. If that was the case he wished that Dong Hua would be good to Feng Jiu. But it also angered him. He had pictured moving on.
He had thought numerous fairies surround him. He would play with them until he forgot about Feng Jiu. But there was no fairy here. Of course, Ji Heng couldn't be considered. There were only virgin ghosts here who would even fall for his charms.
He shivered at the thought then he internally smacked himself. Because he himself found it ridiculous. He knew he had changed. He was no longer interested in having meaningless relationships. Actually, his reputation as a playboy was a bit exaggerated.
Ji Heng threw herself on the grass near the waterfall in listlessness. It was apparent that they had seen all sorts of weird things here. On the way here to the waterfall which had been a hope to them, there were countless wild beasts. Although they didn't have a big level, they were still ferocious considering they were from ancient bloodlines. They were already lucky enough to not disturb any king of these beats or they would all be dead.
