"Di Jun why would you take the trouble to drop me?"

Why is he so stubborn. What do I do now?

"I can do what I want to. Do you feel troubled?" He asked. He glanced at Fang Lei, who raised his eyebrows. Dong Hua stared at him again and he finally understood and took his leave.

"No. It's just..." Feng Jiu was thinking about what to tell Di Jun. Then her eyes shifted over to where all those people were burnt. Even their ashes turned into smoke. There was still blood on the ground. But the flames of the fire were gone. Everything was over just in a few minutes. She frowned and stepped forward and gulped.

"Just what happened to all these people?" She asked.

"They were possessed." Dong Hua answered. "Don't give it much thought. It was their fate to die."

"Fate...Why do I feel like it's really a diabolical thing?" Dong Hua looked at her again.

Her eyes are sad.

"Xiao Jiu this time Ice face isn't wrong," Yan said. She sighed.

Dong Hua stepped in front of her so that she could no longer see the blood-drenched land. Feng Jiu looked up at him. Their eyes locked. Dong Hua grabbed her wrist and flew away with his cloud jumping technique. He used magic and hid her inside his wide sleeve.

"Di Jun. I didn't agree to let you drop me. Plus I haven't said goodbye to Yan." She yelled after realising what he had done.

"Oh."

Oh?

"Di Jun you are so..."

"What's wrong with me?" He asked as they flew over the Rebirth Sea. He glanced over at his gown sleeve which had Feng Jiu and held it tight.

"Ah, I can't breathe." She yelled. He smirked slightly and loosened his grip.

"Di Jun you like to play pranks. But I'm not the third Prince or Si Ming. Then why do you pay attention to me?"

"You seem to know me well." He said. She coughed.

"How could I? All I know is just hearsay." She said. He landed in Qingque where the rebirth sea ended and let her out. She fell on the ground and grabbed her hips in pain. Dong Hua glanced at her and then looked away amused.

What a gentleman he is. Phew! She stood up and dusted her hands and looked at him.

"Even if you are mischievous. You shouldn't always put yourself in danger. As the future queen of Qing Que, you're pretty reckless." He said as if he wasn't nagging but stating a fact.

"Di Jun seems to know me so much. I do like to play around but I do it after knowing the consequences. What happened on the green sea was bad luck." She said crossing her arms.

"I know you."

"Huh?"

"Xiao Huli (little fox)." He touched her phoenix flower birthmark with his forefinger. She froze listening to him.

For a second she felt like he knew it was her. The way he called her was same as when she was around as his pet.

He turned around.

"Wait. I have something to ask you." She finally said and he turned around to face her. He raised his brow but she just couldn't say anything. She took a deep breath and then started to say something but she still couldn't.

"Nothing." She said. Dong Hua eyed her for the last time and vanished.

She smacked herself on her head.

'Ugh, Xiao Jiu. Why didn't you ask him? Now I'll have to see him again. I'll ask him when he asks me for a favor. But what if he never asks me for a favor? I have never seen Di Jun as unreasonable as today. Did something happen to him? Did Zhi He give him something wrong to eat. No, No she's in exile. He...I almost thought he recognized me. ' she thought.

She let her face fall in her palms. She walked back to the fox den. But her mind was clouded with Di Jun touching her forehead. Di Jun saving her again. Di Jun petting her at the open pavilion in Tai Chen Palace. She shook her head to brush off her thoughts.

Calm down. Feng Jiu. You are the next empress of the Qingque.

She repeated to herself.

She entered the fox den which was empty

She entered the fox den which was empty. Ye Hua might have left with Bai Qian. She ran inside straight to the kitchen. After all, she had the duty to make sweets for her aunt's wedding.

Mi Gu the tree spirit and the housekeeper was sitting huddled in a corner far away from the stove. She quickly ran and turned off the gas. But the custard was already burnt.

"Mi Gu. How many times have I taught you this? Now I have to make it again...I'm tired."

"Your highness. You know I'm a tree spirit and I'm afraid of fire."

"I didn't tell you to burn yourself, did I? You only had to burn the firewood." He lowered his head and pouted. She stared at him and huffed.

The day of the wedding.

Feng Jiu strolled out of the wedding hall. She found it boring.

It was already rare that Dong Hua had come to Qingque for their wedding. He was also uninterested in the wedding ceremonies and saw her leaving. Li followed her outside and told her to take him along. But she told him to go inside in case his mom looks for him and walked alone admiring the scenery of QingQue.

It wasn't as elegant and kept as the nine heavens but the lake in Qingque was really beautiful. She ran over the bridge and giggled. Such a beautiful day. She was simpleminded as to enjoy the little things.

She kept running until her lungs gave out. Then she saw a cave ahead of her. But the strange thing was it hadn't been there before. Her eyes brightened and she sauntered inside with a smile.

Ah, I finally found something to do.

"Di Jun. Why don't you try the cakes? I heard that Bai Qian highness especially had Feng Jiu Highness to make these." Si Ming said. Lian Song grabbed a few from Si Ming.

"Princess who's good at cooking. Not Bad. Unlike someone." Lian Song commented after tasting it. Si Ming gulped when he remembered the taste of Dong Hua's sweet and sour fish.

Dong Hua snatched all the cakes and stood up.

"Where are you going?"

"To look for the little fox," he said and walked out. Lian Song extended his hand to grab the cakes but only grabbed air.

"Weird. Where did my cakes go?" He asked Si Ming who shrugged.
