Mixed Feelings

-Elizabeth's POV-

I was sitting on the grass and watching the hustle and bustle of the people in Liones town from the top. The gentle wind was rippling my silver hair and I could feel a sweet cold on my body. After a while minute I lost in my thoughts. The kingdom was saved by seven deadly sins. I'm just happy for that.

Traveling alone, my only goal was to find the seven deadly sins and save the kingdom. Then I could live before with my sisters and dad. But falling in love with someone was not in my plans.

When I thought about it, his face came to my mind again. His lovely blond hair, silvery green eyes and his gorgeous muscular body... My face flushed with these thoughts and in panic I shook my head to the side to make the his image disappear.

Then I noticed the sound of footsteps coming from behind me. I immediately got up and met her purple eyes staring at me in doubt. "What are you doing here Elizabeth? We all looked for you, especially when the captain couldn't find you, he went crazy and angry at us." Diane told me anxiously and with sweet anger. Diane is my close friend. I am getting along with her.

"I'-Im sorry. Boar hat was too crowded today and I wanted to walk away a little bit."  I told her sadly. I worried everyone.
Diane couldn't resent me as usual and smiled at me broadly. "It's okay, Elizabeth. We just wondered about you. Why didn't you tell anyone when leaving the boar hat?" I would love to tell her the answer to this question. But I wouldn't tell her that I am in a platonic love for Meliodas and that I am hurt because he love still love his ex.

I took a deep breath. "I-I don't know at that moment I just wanted to get away from there. I forgot to inform." I felt bad for lying to her. But I wouldn't tell her the truth. "If you forget to let us know again, the captain will go really crazy this time." Diane giggled and she looked at me implied. I couldn't understand her gaze.

I didn't say anything to her. Meliodas is always a concern for everyone. He think of others before himself. So he wondered about me. I know that whoever is in my place he will wonder that way again.

After walking for a while with Diane, we came to the boar hat and entered. I glanced at the tables when we entered. there was almost nobody left. I realized that the boar hat will almost close. "Elizabeth-chan!!!" Hawk yelled loudly at me and ran and jumped in tears. Seeing that he was very worried about me, I smiled and hugged him tightly.

At that time, I noticed that Meliodas was standing in front of me. I slowly let go of the Hawk and stand up and look into his anxious and angry emerald green eyes. He got closer to me quickly and my face flushed. "Where have you been, Elizabeth? Why did you leave without telling me anything? What if something happened to you and if I couldn't protect you." He said his last sentence quietly and angrily.

I smiled forcefully so that he knew I was fine. "I-Im sorry S-Sir Meliodas I just a little bit..." I was silent and gave up what I wanted to say and I continued. "I-I just wanted to get air and walk. I promise that nothing like this will happen again." I told him quickly and went to the Escanor who was cleaning the counter.

İgnoring of Meliodas's glance at me, I bought a wet cloth and started to help Escanor. I continued to wipe the counter without taking my eyes off the counter. Then I noticed that everyone was very quiet. I did not realize that Meliodas was coming to me. He suddenly grabbed my chin with his hand and he lifted my head up and made me look at him.

I was suddenly startled and met eyes with his green eyes looking at me with suspicion. I felt my face turn red again. "Whats wrong, Elizabeth?" He asked me without taking his hand off my chin. I felt my chin burned with his finger. I looked out of the corner of my eye the boar hat. Customers were gone. Other sins were looking at us in a way that I could not understand. And I couldn't stand being so close to him anymore and I walked away from him.

"T-there is no problem, I'm fine S-Sir Meliodas..." I told him with my face still red. I noticed that he was surprised that I walked away from him. And with a look I didn't understand, he approached me again.

He knew that other sins were listening to us. He leaned over so that they wouldn't hear and he whispered quietly into my ear. "I know you're lying I will find out who upset you and stop it from hurt you." He told me confidently and backed away. He didn't know that it was he who made me sad. The person he was looking for was not far away, he was himself. He smiled broadly at me. I felt melted at his smile and my whole face was red now.

At that time, the boar hat's door opened and King and Elaine, who had gone to control the fairy king forest, had returned. Ban immediately went to Elaine and hugged her. Elaine happily hugged him too. Likewise, Diane and King hugged each other. I smiled happily while looking at them.

I was not happy, but I was happy that my close friends were happy. While I was looking at them, I noticed that Meliodas was looking at me. I quickly looked at him. for a while we were just looking at each other in the eyes. I felt like I was hypnotized. that's why I barely pulled my eyes from his eyes and went over to Elaine.

When Elaine saw me she smiled and almost jumped on me. I barely smiled at her too. Suddenly her facial expression changed and she looked at me dullly. I've been pretending to be happy for a long time. But lately I have been unable to act. Elaine must have understood that too.

"Captain everything is fine in the fairy king forest." King said to Meliodas and sat down at the table and began to sip a drink. Diane was sitting next to him. Then King and Elaine started to tell others what happened. Without their attention, I sneaked up the stairs and entered the room where I and Meliodas were staying. I sat on the bed, taking advantage of my loneliness, my true feelings immediately surfaced and my tears began to drain down my cheek. But I did not notice the person standing in front of the door and seeing me crying.
