First Rapprochement

-Elizabeh's POV-

Meliodas narrowed his eyes and looked at Diane. "I will always protect Elizabeth, Diane because... Elizabeth is very valuable to me." He said looking at me and smiled at me. I melted in his smile. Am I valuable to him!? While I was thinking about all this, Meliodas turned to Diane.

"İs your curiosity gone now?" Meliodas raised an eyebrow and asked Diane implicitly. I didn't understand what Meliodas meant. "Yes captain, I understood very well you." Diane answered to Meliodas with emphasis and smiled as if she had won a victory.

I and Hawk, confused, didn't understand what was happening, and listened to the strange conversation of Meliodas and Diane.

I noticed that Meliodas was still on the ground because Hawk hit him and I quickly approached him without thinking. I leeaned beside him. "Sir Meliodas are you alright!?" I asked him worriedly and reflexively I put my hand on his arm.

He looked at me with his emerald green eyes and smiled at me. "I'm fine as long as you are with me Elizabeth." As he said this, his eyes continued to stare at my blue eyes. I blushed my face and I smiled at him in a shy way. "I-ı will always be by your side S-Sir Meliodas..." I said it with my head lowered. I was embarrassed to say this to him. When he said that he was fine while I was with him, immediately the butterflies in my heart started to fly.

At that moment Meliodas slowly backed away and I lost my balance as I held onto him with one hand. I closed my eyes tightly in fear. But I felt something soft and warm. I was shocked when I opened my eyes.

Meliodas was sitting with his back against the wall. My head was on his chest. The warmth I felt was Meliodas! I gently looked up at him. My hands were still resting on his chest. "I'm definitely better now Elizabeth" He said to me with sneakyly smile. Then I understood that Meliodas was deliberately withdrawing and I blushed like crazy.

Why did he do such a thing!? While asking myself this question over and over, I forgot I was still on Meliodas. Then I looked at him when I noticed his emerald green eyes on me.

When I realized that we were so close with him, I panicked. Also he staring at me without ever taking his green eyes out of my eyes. My face was completely blushed. I was prepared to stand up. But I was a little too late for this. "What are you two doing here, don't you see you have to leave the captain and the princess alone?" Ban said it implicitly to Diane and Hawk and laughed. I realized that the others were seeing us like this at that moment.

The at the moment I heard Ban say, I blushed like crazy. I tried to stand up but I got caught in Meliodas's foot and I was almost falling but Meliodas grabbed me by my waist immediately and prevented me from falling.

I looked at him embarrassingly. "T-thank you Sir Meliodas." I told him softly and shyly. "Always Elizabeth." He smiled at me with his sweet smile. I blushed like a tomato. While his muscular arms still wrapped around my waist, I was frozen where I was, couldn't move in his arms or I didn't want to move. And Meliodas continued to hold me by my waist. We were both looking at each other. I felt, I could look into his eyes forever. Not only his eyes, his gaze were also beautiful too. At the moment "I never thought I'd say this but Ban is right I think we should get out of here." King told the others with a slight reddening on his face and embarrassmently.

When I heard what King said I blushed up to my ears. I've never been so embarrassed in a row before. Meliodas noticed this and immediately approached the others. "That's enough, it's late, everyone! Go to your room. Tomorrow will be tiring day in the boar hat." Meliodas slapped his hands together and told all sins.

I smiled when I realized that Meliodas was doing this for me. Everyone said good night to each other. When everyone started to leave the room slowly, I made eye contact with Diane and she left the room after she smiled at me implicitly. I blushed again because I knew very well why she was smiling like that.

After everyone left the room, only Meliodas and I was left. Meliodas turned to me and my heart started to beat like crazy when my eyes met his emerald green eyes again. "Elizabeth, I want to tell you something." He told me seriously and nervously. I looked at him confused and wondered what he would say to me.

But at the moment Hawk entered the room. Hawk pointed to Meliodas with his eyes on the rope in his mouth."You will never learn, will you?" Hawk squinted his eyes and said to Meliodas funny angrily.

Hawk tied Meliodas tightly with a rope as usual and Meliodas gave him a weary look."Do you have to tie me up every time?" Meliodas asked with a sigh to Hawk."You sleep in the same bed with Elizabeth-chan, I can't let your hands be free!" Hawk answered him angrily. I giggled at what Hawk said.

Meliodas looked at me with a sneaking smile."Hmmm, maybe Elizabeth doesn't want me to be tied up like me." He winked at me and waited for me to approve him.
My face flushed. At the moment Hawk interrupted without letting me say anything. "Don't try to confuse Elizabeth's mind!" Hawk told Meliodas in anger and then turned off the light and left the room.

Then I slowly lie down next to Meliodas and turned to him. "W-what would you tell me Sir Meliodas?" I whispered curiously to him. The room was dark but I could feel him looking into my eyes. "You'll find out soon Elizabeth..." He said to me in a quietly and secretly. What would he tell me? I was very curious about it. While I was thinking about it. At the moment even though Meliodas was tied with a rope, he came closer to me.

I'm surprised when he get closer to me. "S-Sir Meliodas..?" I said his name in surprise. "Your scent helps me sleep." He muttered sweetly, explaining to me. As soon as I heard his say, my eyes widened and my whole face blushed. "How does my scent help his sleep?" I suddenly escaped out of my mouth in surprise and immediately closed my mouth with my hand.

I spoke out loud what I was thinking my inside. I was praying inside so that Meliodas wouldn't hear. But it was too late because Meliodas already heard what escaped out of my mouth.
