Friends or Lovers?

-Elizabeh's POV-

I talked to him as usual. Why was he so surprised by this? I looked at him confused. His green eyes were darker than usual. "Are you still calling me sir?" Meliodas said to me quietly. I felt disappointed in his voice. This increased my astonishment even more.

I opened my mouth to say something to him, but I closed it again instantly because Meliodas got close to me. There was only one step gap between us. My face blushed and I looked at him with surprised eyes. Others were watching us in shock.

"I don't want you to call me sir anymore Elizabeth." Meliodas said to me softly. He looked me in the eyes, showing that he was waiting for an answer from me. I'm still so confused. I've been calling him a sir since we first met him. But now it was obvious that he was uncomfortable with this. I couldn't understand why was this beginning to bother him?

I looked at him with my face red. "S-so how should I address you?" I asked him with hesitation and wonderly. I kept looking into his eyes and saw the dark green of his eyes pass. He was looking at me like old. That made me happy.

His lips twisted and smiled on the question I asked. Inevitably my eyes fell to his lips and again I remembered kissing with him. My face reddened to my ears and I immediately took my eyes off his lips and looked at his eyes again.

He saw me look at his lips. I knew he was noticing because he was smiling more insidiously than ever. My face blushed like crazy, and again I started to resent inside myself. "Just address me with my name." He told me as he continued with a smile.

I was very nervous and embarrassment. "O-okay Meliodas..." I said to him shyly. Addressing him only by name is very strange but it felt so much nicer. My face turned pink. He smiled and moved closer to me so that the last step between us was lost. Then he put his hand on my cheek. I looked at him in surprised. We were too close to each other. I could feel his breath. My face reddened like a tomato and I felt like my heart would stop.

My cheek, on which he put his hand, was burning like crazy. "Elizabeth, you say my name very beautiful..." He told me sweetly and smiled. I responded with a smile shy to what he said. Then I looked into his beautiful green eyes. His hand was still on my cheek. He was examining my face very carefully, as if he was trying to memorize my face. My whole face was dark red.

"You two tell us the truth now." Suddenly King seriously said to Meliodas and me. I did not understand what King was trying to say, and I looked at him, confused. Meliodas was confused like me. "What are you talking about King?" Meliodas asked him curiously and seriously.

"Captain, don't hide your relationship with princess from us anymore." King said to Meliodas seriously. The moment I heard King say, my whole face turned red. Diane has previously told me that everyone thinks there is a relationship between me and Meliodas. But I didn't think King would say this right now.

"T-there is no relationship... b-between me and S-... Meliodas!" My face flushed and in panic I waved my hands no to either side. Meliodas looked at me and smiled slyly. He strangely liked me calling him by name. My face was completely blushed in front of his smile and I immediately took my eyes from his beautiful green eyes.

The other was looking at us with an implied smile on their faces. I'm in a really difficult situation. Although I told them the truth, they didn't believe me. At that time, Meliodas came right in front of me and approached me. For a while he looked into my eyes. At the time I thought I was going to die.

Then he leaned in my ear and silently asked the question I was shocked with. "Are you sure Elizabeth?" He whispered sweetly in my ear. I felt his breath in my neck. The moment I heard the question he was asking, I was stunned. My face turned red like a tomato. Everyone was looking at us curiously. They were very curious what Meliodas said to my ear. At the moment I wanted to run as far as possible.

Fortunately at that time the Hawk came and looked at all of us in a daze. As soon as I saw him, I went to him, or rather ran away. Meliodas's words were repeated in my head. What did he mean? While I was thinking about these things, Hawk looked at me confusedly. "What are you thinking Elizabeth?" Hawk asked me curiously, unaware of everything that happened.

I was nervous about Hawk's question. Everybody knew who I was thinking so it stretched me more. "N-nothing..!" I answered quickly. What happened today was more than enough. I couldn't take it any longer. So I rushed up without caring everybody's gaze.

-Third person perspective-

When Elizabeth quickly went up, everyone's eyes turned to Meliodas. Meliodas took a look at the sins and then took a step to follow Elizabeth but Ban put his hand on his shoulder and stopped him.

Meliodas looked at Ban confusedly. "Captain, leave the princess alone for a while. You know, princess experienced hard things today... Also I want to talk to you." Ban said softly to Meliodas. All of the sins looked curiously at Meliodas and Ban.

Meliodas tried to make up his mind for a while and looked into Ban's eyes, then nodded positively. Meliodas turned to other sins. "Our work is done today. Everyone can go and rest." Meliodas said seriously. Sins looked at each other. "Okay captain!" Everyone told Meliodas and slowly everyone scattered around their rooms.

Meliodas and Ban went out and sat on the small stairs at the entrance to the boar hat. The wind was blowing sweetly. Meliodas clasped his hands together and disappeared in his thoughts for a while. Ban watched Meliodas very carefully and seriously.

Meliodas noticed this and looked at Ban with a serious expression. "What do you want to talk to me about Ban?" Meliodas asked Ban with curiosity. Ban looked at Meliodas hesitantly. "Captain I'm your close friend, although others may not notice, I realize that lately you are different from the usual." Ban told seriously.

Meliodas breathed troubled. "Am I different than usual, like what?" Meliodas seriously asked Ban and looked at him curiously. "You are constantly thinking of things. So are you still thinking about Liz? Ban asked his friend seriously and worried. Meliodas took his hands between his head. "Ban nothing is as you think." Meliodas said thoughtfully and he locked his eyes at a certain point.

Ban was surprised at Meliodas's answer. "You never said that about Liz before. Now I'm sure you're in love with the princess, aren't you?" Ban asked to Meliodas impliedly with smile.
