Love's Fire

-Elizabeh's POV-

I was shocked. I could not even move. I was just trying to figure out if what I heard was a dream or a reality. Meliodas... really....did he say that!? Or was I going crazy!? Storms were breaking inside me. My heart was beating so fast that I even thought that Meliodas might be hearing my heart's voice from outside.

Yes that was definitely a dream. There was no way it could be true. Just as I was starting to think it was a dream, I realized that I was feeling the warmth of Meliodas's body and his hand on my waist. My eyes instantly widened and my whole face turned red like a tomato.

If it was a dream I wouldn't be able to feel him!? The moment I faced this reality, I suddenly got up and sat on the bed. I looked at Meliodas who was astonished like me. We were just looking at each other without talking. I wanted to say something, but it was as if I swallowed my tongue and couldn't speak.

"E-Elizabeth..." Meliodas called me hesitantly and was looking at me nervously. I didn't take my eyes off his green emerald eyes looking at me nervously. I realized that I could not remain silent any longer and I cleared my throat. "D-did... I-II just dream or...d-did you really t-tell me!?" I asked him, still in shock. My heart was pounding like crazy.

I saw Meliodas's face blushing when I asked the question. My confusion grew even more. He fixed his green eyes on my eyes. Then I swallowed nervously while waiting for Meliodas's answer. "Well, let me show you Elizabeth..." Meliodas said to me in a strange voice. I looked at him, confused.

Meliodas, on the other hand, slowly started to approach me without taking his eyes off my eyes even for a second. I thought my heart would stop as he got closer to me. My heart was beating so fast as if it was trying to come out of me.

He had come to the bottom, our noses were almost touching each other. It was like someone was burning my face with a lighter. My face reddened like never before in my life. So close that I could feel Meliodas's sweet breath on my face. Meliodas put one hand gently on my cheek. And he was looking into my eyes in a way I could not understand what it was means. At that moment I looked with a puzzled look. As soon as I thought of what he was trying to do, Meliodas suddenly bent down and kissed me on my lips.

My eyes suddenly widened and I was astonished, I didn't know what to do. After a while I closed my eyes and surrendered to the softness of his lips. Something inside of me was forcing me to act. I couldn't stand it any longer and listened to the desire in me. And I started to respond to Meliodas. Our kissing got much more passionate and deep when Meliodas noticed this.

I put one hand on his muscular chest. Meliodas put his other hand around my waist and pulled me more to himself. There was no distance between us anymore. it was as if we were one body. I didn't know how long we'd been kissing. But after a while I was unable to control myself. I put my arms around Meliodas's neck. Upon this movement of mine, Meliodas began to kiss me deeper and harder and he began to slowly run his fingers around my waist. My whole face caught fire with his touches.

We were kissing as if there was no tomorrow. I was so embarrassed for feeling this way, but I never wanted this moment to end. I knew that Meliodas felt the same, because neither of us had retreated until our last breath. After kissing for a long time, we both ran out of breath so we both drew back slowly.

My face was red and I looked at him in a daze. Meliodas looked at me the same way. I opened my lips slowly but closed them again. Because I didn't know what I should say. But Meliodas spoke unlike me. "Did this kissing answer the your question..?" He asked me implying and smiled sneakyly. I didn't expect him to say bluntly that we kissed. That's why my face blushed more.

My face was red because of what we just experienced and what Meliodas said. I couldn't get over my shock. So I kept silent about Meliodas's question and took my eyes off him. Although I wasn't looking at Meliodas, I could still feel his looking at me. For a few seconds we were both silent.

Then I couldn't help myself and asked Meliodas the question that was puzzling me. "D-do you really love me?" I asked Meliodas hesitantly and started looking at him again. Meliodas immediately looked at me with emerald green eyes in surprise. "What kind of question is this Elizabeth? How do you still think I don't love you after what we just happened?" Meliodas asked me in a daze.

I looked into his green eyes and saw sadness in his eyes. That's why I felt like I wanted to explain. "M-Meliodas I just-" I tried to explain it to him softly but suddenly I stopped because Meliodas cut me off. "Shhh you don't need to explain." He said sweetly to me. There was still little distance between us.

Meliodas came closer to me and he was looking into my eyes in a very meaningful way. "I love you Elizabeth, I love you so much... I thought you already understood this, So I was going to tell you last day but lately you stayed away from me... Then I gave up telling my feelings." Meliodas told me softly. I was surprised by what I heard.

Meliodas told me that he wanted to say something one day, but then the Hawk came. He said that later, when we were alone again, I would learn soon. So that day Meliodas was going to tell me that he love me...

At that time, I suddenly hugged Meliodas's neck tightly. Meliodas immediately responded to me and he hugged me and smiled. To me hugging him and feeling him was a unique feeling. Meliodas's words were very valuable to me. All this time I was in love with him and I was in pain thinking he didn't love me. But in fact Meliodas suffered the same as me and I never realized it. Diane and Elaine were the right from the beginning, I wish I had believed in them before.

"Meliodas I didn't want to stay away from you. I've had a lot with you lately, so I was afraid that you and everyone would understand my feelings for you... Meliodas I love you too!" I said him happily as I continued to hug him. I never thought I'd tell him I love him. I thought I would keep this in my heart forever. But being honest with him was a relief to me.

Meliodas's smile widened and he hugged me tighter. We hugged for a while then Meliodas slowly backed away and looked at me with his beautiful green eyes. His gaze reminded me of a previous glance. The look before he kiss me... My face blushed deep red. The more embarrassed when I was this close to Meliodas. Meliodas smiled slyly when he saw me blushing. This smile of him always make me nervous and make me panic more.

I was not wrong. Because Meliodas was looking at me with that look exactly as I guessed. Unlike the first one, Meliodas bent down slowly to kiss me on my lips this time. I slowly closed my eyes as he leaned over. I prepared myself to feel his soft and luscious lips again.

Now our lips were very close, almost touching each other. The door opened when Meliodas was about to kiss me. At that moment Meliodas slowly turned his head to the door. I closed my eyes tightly because I was so embarrassed. My face blushed like crazy. We were caught on the first day.

"Am I interrupting you!?" The person on the door asked us in shock.
