This one was a request I did in my Lion Guard moments book but I added some extra here
In the royal family's tree, Añanda was making a healing cream for her daughter out of herbs. Her cubs watched curiously as Añanda gently scooped Rani in her paws and smeared the cream gently on her scratch. "That should help it heal. And you won't feel any pain while you sleep" she told her as Rani sniffed and made a disgusted face at how bad it smelled. It made Añanda chuckle.
Bailyo looked at his sister worriedly "Is she going to be ok?" He asked worried. "I'll be ok Bailyo. It's not that bad" she assured her brother. Añanda chuckled as she found this reminded her of someone.
"You know Rani. Something like happened with your father" she told her and the cubs looked at their mom curiously. "What happen?" Bailyo asked curiously. "Yeah tell us" Rani asked too. Añanda smiled at her cubs as she told the story...
Flashback
Añanda was drinking water at one of the pools near the Tree of Life. The lioness noticed something walking to the Tree and she looked up. It was a male lion with a large brown mane. Añanda recognized him as Sãhasí, the King of the Tree of Life. But Añanda noticed something that concerned her.
Sãhasí looked like to be groaning in pain and limping too. She noticed that he was holding one of his back legs up. The lion got inside but Añanda stared at him worriedly. They didn't know eachother well so she wasn't sure what he was like. But she couldn't just let him limp around.
Leaving the pool, Añanda walked to where she last saw the king. Once she arrived at the tree, her ears perked at a the sound of a roar. It sounded like Sãhasí was in pain. The lioness walked inside the tree and once she entered, she saw the king lying on the floor exhausted. The lion didn't even make it halfway through the tree because of his injury. Añanda stared at him with concern. He was trying so hard to walk.
"Your majesty?" Añanda asked him concerned and he turned his head to her. He was surprised, not expecting anyone to find him like this. The two stared at eachother.
"Are you alright?" She asked him, already knowing the answer that he wasn't ok. Sãhasí smiled at her assuringly "I'm fine" he assured her as he stood up grunting in pain. Añanda saw that the injury on his leg was tiring him and making it hard for him to walk or stand up.
"You are not fine. You're hurt" she reminded him firmly as she stepped closer to him. Sãhasí shook his head and he knew that lifting his hurt foot made it obvious so he took a risk to walk with his injured foot.
"Ah!" Sãhasí hissed in pain and stumbled on the floor and Añanda immediately rushed to him, her ears down in worry. Now that he was lying down, Añanda saw the injury on his leg. Some vine wrapped was around his foot so tightly that it was getting swollen and turning purple.
"Your majesty. You're injured. Judging by the swolleness, you got injured like maybe an hour ago. Let me heal you" Añanda told him firmly, putting her paw down. Sãhasí and Añanda stared at eachother, Sãhasí thinking if he should argue with her or not. But the worry and seriousness in her brown eyes told him otherwise and the lion sighed in defeat.
"Very well" he told her and Añanda walked over to his hurt foot while Sãhasí watched her curiously. Little did the lioness know, Sãhasí had seen her before.
Añanda bit on the vine and pulled it, her claws retracted to loosen the vine. She manage to rip it off his foot and she looked at his foot. The purple color on his foot began to soften back into a brown color now that his blood pressure was back to normal.
Sãhasí sighed relaxed, relieved that the tight pain on his foot was gone. He turned his head to look at her and smiled at her gratefully "Thank you" he told her grateful.
"You're welcome your majesty" she told him respectfully as she walked over to him at his side. "Please. You can call me by my name. Sãhasí. No need to be formal" he told her as he stood up but his foot hurted a bit so he still couldn't walk on.
"You need some leaf sap to ease your foot. Come on" she told him and he leaned on her for support as the two lions started walking. Sãhasí looked at her. He was touched and amazed on how determined she was to help him and he was the king.
"You know I've seen you before" he told her and she looked at him surprised. "You have?" She asked him puzzled. "Yes. You were learning healing from my mother, Janna" he explained to her. Añanda was training with the former queen but he never thought that the king would notice her.
"My mother tells me that you're an amazing healer...and she's right" he told her and Añanda blushed at him complimenting her at that last part. "What's your name?" He asked her curious.
"Añanda" she told him. "Añanda. Well thank you for your help Añanda" he told her, smiling at her. Añanda looked away blushing but when she looked back at him, their eyes meeting, she smiled back at him as she helped him get some leaf sap.
