"Wait, you two are now dating?!"

Chase hushes Winter, looking around to see if anyone was heard. "Yes..."

The girl gasps happily, clapping her hands together. "I need to meet him! You've been talking about him for so damn long! Text him to come over here."

Chase smiles, his cheeks were warm, his stomach was filled with butterflies. "He's eating right now and is uncomfortable eating in front of others... But he said when he's done, he'll come out here."

Winter smiles widely and agreed that was fine. Chase has never seen her so excited over something about Chase, not even when he told her he was dating Clyde, who was his crush since middle school!

"Tell me all about him!"

"I already have."

Winter sighs dramatically, crossing her arms. "Well, tell me again!" Chase blinks at his best friend, he was not about to waste his breath reexplaining how adorable Max was. "What's his zodiac sign?"

Chase blinks, trying to remember if Max has ever mentioned his birthday. Maybe once but maybe it was just the season.

"Not sure..."

Winter rolls her eyes, "well, he has to let me read his palm." Chase scowls, shaking his head instantly. "Oh, c'mon!"

"He's really shy, Winter! And you're scary looking!"

The black haired girl couldn't say anything in denial. That was the whole point, to look spooky.

"Maybe we can bond over music taste?"

Chase shrugs. He didn't want Max to be frightened and freaked out, not by just Winter specifically, but that a new person was trying to speak to him. Hell, just being around new people made Max scared.

"Just make sure you're calm, I don't want him to get overwhelmed..."

Winter fake saluted Chase, rolling her eyes at his sudden protectiveness. But she found it quite adorable how fond Chase was of the blonde.

They contiued talking about Winter's tarot cards and a new candle she got. Chase oddly found her witchy stuff fascinating.

Chase almost didn't notice the presence that slipped in the spot next to him.

"Oh, hi!" Chase beams, sending his boyfriend a smile. The blonde returned it shyly. "Max, this is my best friend, Winter. Winter, this is my boyfriend, Max!"

Winter smiles widely, almost scarily. "It's great to meet you!" Maxwell mustared together a sweet smile, his hands were beginning to shake.

The dark haired boy noticed and grabbed one from under the table. Luckily, the table they decided to sit at was far away from the others, not many people were outside either.

It was chilly out.

Winter rambled a bit about her girlfriend and how they were possibly going to break up because of an inconvenience.

Chase still couldn't remember her girlfriends name.

Max was silently, completely silent. Chase couldn't even hear him breathing half the time. He rubbed the blondes knuckles and palms, placing another hand gently on his shaking knee.

"Oh, well, I might be straight."

Chase cringed, "imagine." Winter blinks, her eyes switching between the couple. "You like boobs too much to be straight, Winter."

Winter paused for a moment. She nodded in agreement, "shit, yeah, you're right..."

Chase curled into a ball, holding his stomach. His throat was still burning, he could feel the acid in the too of his stomach, he still felt incredibly nauesous.
