Dedicated to goth,Winter is based on them🖤
"Ya know, this is a no smoking zone..."
"They can piss off." Winter snaps with an eye roll, tapping her cigarette between her fingers, the ashes falling. She inhales the shrinking white stick.
She blew the smoke behind her, making sure it didn't get near Chase. His mom would him if she smelt smoke and cigarette on him.
"Can you drive me home today?"
"Why the hell not." Winter finished the cigarette, throwing it on the ground. She smooshes it under her black boots. "I dont see why you don't get a car."
Chase rolls his eyes,"my parents think I'll sneak out and get someone pregnant. But I'm gay, so that's not a problem."
Winter scoffs, "your parents both have a stick up their asses, no one word let you fuck them." Chase smacks Winters arm, softly. He knew she'd beat the shit out of him if it was hard. "I'm kidding..."
"No you weren't."
Winter shrugs, leaning against a tree. It was nice outside, no one was outside eating lunch. Only a handful of people, but they were close towards the school.
"Don't you have baseball pratice?"
"No, I have work though..."
Winter nods once,"so I'm taking you to work then?" Chase sends her a wide, innocent smile. "You owe me."
"A monster and a pebble, sure."
"Wow."
Chase stifles his chuckle, sipping on his third capri-sun. Drinking juice was better than eating thousands of calories and grams of sugar, that's how Chase viewed it.
In a way, he was right, but drinking an entire case of capri-suns still wasn't healthy in any way.
"We should skip the rest of the day."
"My mama would kill me."
Winter but her lip for a moment, "she doesn't need to know." Chase gave his best friend a look, rolling his brown eyes. "You need to mess up now so you don't do it when you're an adult."
The boy just sighs.
Winter smokes another cigarette before the lunch period ended, Chase drank another handful of juice pouches. Neither noticed how much he drank.
The two went to class after their lunch ended, agreeing on where to meet after school.
Chase was a smart kid, he had to be. If he got anything other than A's and high B's, he'd get in severe trouble with his parents. He also needed to keep a high GPA for baseball.
It wasn't easy for him to keep his grades up, he loses hours if sleep studying, just to get a C on the test. But he was used to the pressure, even though he hated it horribly.
A handful of people's schedules had to be moved around, it was still close to the beginning of the year. Handfuls of people left his classes, only to be replaced with others.
Luckily, Chase didn't have to change any classes, only desk partners.
When he walked into the class he had after lunch, someone new was sitting in the seat beside him, the class required assigned seats.
Chase couldn't tell who it was, their head was bowed down, scribbling things down in a notebook. Earbuds were plugged into the boys ears, blocking everyone out.
