"You, sir, have some explaining to do"
Monoma raised his hands in the air defensively, a half-hearted chuckle escaping his lips. "You're right-" he paused, looking you in the eye "-I'm sorry, for whatever I did. I just know you're mad at me, so please, tell me what's wrong so I can fix it." He whimpered sarcastically like a puppy.
You rolled your eyes, your body beginning to shake in frustration and relief. "I just- I-" You were unable to form proper sentences as a lump began to reform in your throat. "Why didn't you text me to let me know if your nose was okay?" You finally said, looking away from him. "I know it's stupid, but little things like that really matter to me."
The blond looked at you in shock, raising his eyebrows. "That's what you're so mad at me for? And here I was thinking you were seriously mad at me for something!" He began to laugh. Your face began to show a pained expression. Trauma from your past had made you like this, and him just going around laughing about it like it was no big deal really hurt you.
"I knew it was stupid, but you didn't have to be a douchebag about it..." you droned quietly, tearing away your gaze. Monoma suddenly stopped laughing to place a hand on your shoulder. "It's not that, I was just so worried it would some super big reason, not that your reasoning isn't valid. I was just overreacting. But your thoughts still matter too, you shouldn't put someone else's happiness over your own boundaries." He smiled, craning his neck to meet your height.
No longer able to hold it in, you burst into tears, throwing your arms around him. "I'm sorry!" You sobbed, ugly crying. "I was just so worried!" You dug your face into his chest, your snot beginning to get on his t-shirt.
He, like usual, was surprised at your sudden contact; he wasn't used to such caring gestures. Despite this, he tried his best to comfort you. Stroking your hair was what he found he was best at. "Hey, you don't have 'ta worry about me, I'm gonna be just fine. I'm really sorry I didn't text you as I promised." You continued to cry, star-like tears dripping onto your own blazer, however, you felt it coming to a stop.
'Jeez,' you thought 'I have to stop crying on people like this. You looked up at him, wiping away your remaining tears. "Sorry about your shirt-" You said quietly, looking away from him.
Monoma chuckled, ruffling your hair one last time. "It's alright, I'd rather have a dirty shirt than you bottle up your feelings." He smiled before you let go of him.
You cracked a tiny grin as you looked him in the eyes. "Thanks, Neito," You knew you said it a lot, but you didn't really have any other words to say to him at that moment. You were just too grateful to him for everything he's done, even if he couldn't see that.
For a second, he just stood there before offering you his hand. "You ready to go home?" He questioned, tilting his head.
"Mhm," You nodded lightly, a hint of pink covering your cheeks.

"Thank you for walking me" You smiled warmly as you reached the front steps of your porch. Neito waited a few feet away, saying nothing but giving a small wave.
"Anytime!" He stood there for a moment before he seemed to realize something. "Oh, wait! Before you go, take this," He hurried up to you, placing a small box in your hand.
You looked at the book, then him, then the book, then back to him. "Neito, what is-"
Before you could complete your words, he interrupted you. "Don't worry about it! just open it real quick!" He looked like he was very anxious about whatever was in this box.
With a confused expression, you lightly lifted the lid to see a single pressed flower sitting neatly in the center of the package. It was a pretty, white baby's breath.
You glanced up at him with pure happiness showing on your visage, that's when you noticed he was blushing. A pretty pink covered the majority of his face, leaving almost no space untouched. "I just saw it in the woods the other day and thought of you! I thought it would be nice-"
With lidded eyes, you planted a small peck on his cheek, a smile appearing on both of your faces as you did so. "Thank you, Neito, I love it."
When you looked at him again, you saw he was blushing an even darker shade of pink, if that was even possible. "I'm glad you like it! now if you don't mind me, I have to go fold the dishes! Bye Y/n-chan!" And with that, he ran off, presumably to go fold his dishes.
You chuckled to yourself before heading inside. Placing your things on the entry table, you called through the house: "Aika! I'm home!"
When there was no response as you slipped off your shoes, you yelled again. "Aika, you there?"
You began to get worried, she hardly ever didn't answer when she was called. You ascended through the spiral staircase, notching that your feet were talking you far faster than normal.
You knocked at her door, her beautiful blue door. Before you could even ask to come in, the door swung wide open with an eerie creaking.
There, lying upside down on her bed, was Aika, her eyes rolled into the back of her head and her entire body disfigured. Her arm in particular was twisted around multiple times around in the wrong direction.
But, this wasn't what you noticed first, no.
It was the large, incriminating pool of blood.
