As you slip on your green knee-high socks, your mind wanders to what activities Kan-sensei might have planned for you and your classmates today. You had never really enjoyed school in particular (only NERDS like school), but being able to train to become a hero in class made everything worth it.

You hear buzzing come from your phone, followed by your alarm sound. This was your reminder to get going. You rushed out of your bedroom door, pulling on your slides and shouting Aika's name through the house.

"Hey, dork! We gotta get going!" You hear grumbling followed by footsteps, Aika appearing at the door moments later. She looked at you, slumping her bag over her shoulder. "We gonna leave?" She said, twisting the door nob.

"Yeah, come on, let's go." You strolled down the sidewalk, making sure Aika was still at your side. Even though you lived in quite a family-friendly neighborhood, there were still creeps that would try something if you weren't paying close enough attention.

Come to think of it, you were surprised you still lived here. Ever since your parents left, they had been controlling the bills with their money, but when they went missing, your amazing aunt had been put in charge of that. Well, you weren't biologically related, she was more like your godmother, but you still called her your aunt.

You had thought about this a lot before. What would happen when your parents ran out of money? Where would you go? You had always hoped that you would get to stay with your aunt, Elizabeth, but you knew that wouldn't be the case. You and your sister would be split up, one sent to live your Grandmother, the other sent to live with your Grandfather, neither of which you ever wanted to see again.

You shook your head, clearing your mind of unhelpful thoughts. You didn't need to be thinking about this so early in the morning! Today was going to be a great day! You were going to get o hand out with Kendo and the other girls! You'd also be seeing Monom-

Wait, you had forgotten about what had happened just yesterday. Your mind flashed back to the attack, the blood, but most terrifying of all,

the corpse.

After you had fallen asleep with Aika, you'd let your mind go blank! Dammit! Why'd it have to come back now? You feel your hands start to shake. This was it. The same fear you felt when the authorities had told you your parents were lost at sea.

Your knees lock and you stop walking, starting to get flashbacks to your grandmother beating you.

"This is your fault! It's your fault he's gone!"

The words echoed in your head, threatening to drive you mad. You touched a spot on your arm where you were beaten especially worse than the rest of your body. Many things raced through your mind. You felt a bead of sweat form on your forehead. You felt people staring, talking, whispering. Your legs grew weak.

'Are they talking about me?' You thought. 'Yes, they are, I hear it in their voices! They-'

"Y/n!"

You broke out of your thoughts, not noticing the tears sitting on your eyes. It was Aika who had called out your name, a worried look on her face.

"Y/n, are you feeling okay?" She had pulled you aside, stopping others from bumping into you with her quirk, force-field, although the sidewalk wasn't that busy, to begin with. "It's okay if your not. We can just head back-"

"I'm fine." You say sternly, not feeling all that great. "It's okay, I'm fine. We can keep going." You painted a smile onto your face, forcing your legs to start moving again even though they weren't ready to do so. Was what you just experienced... a panic attack? You hadn't had one of those in a long time, but, why now? You had those kinds of thoughts all the time, why did this one evoke those painful memories?
