On Wednesday, I lazily pulled myself out of bed at 6:02 AM. I was no longer super excited about going to school. Of course, I still enjoyed school. I just didn't really like having to be up and ready so early in the morning.
I spent almost fifteen minutes in the shower, which Liam didn't appreciate. Honestly, I was just so tired, and I accidentally fell asleep leaned up against the shower wall.
When I finally got out, I got dressed and ready for the day. I slipped on a white v-neck t-shirt, khaki pants, and some white supras I found in Liam's closet. I got myself completely situated, wrapping my tail loosely around my leg and covering up my ears.
For breakfast, I ate a bowl of Lucky Charms with Liam and Nicola. Ruth had come down with some sort of illness, so I didn't get to see her.
Before we left for school, Liam pointed out a stain on my white v-neck, causing me to have to change. I groaned as I walked up to our room and raided Liam's closet for a new shirt to change into. I grabbed a white polo and quickly threw it on then headed back downstairs.
On our way to school, Liam brought up buying a cellphone for me to dad.
"Yeah, we could get you one, Niall," dad said. "After school, we'll head over to the Verizon store, okay?" I nodded, excited that I would finally be getting a cellphone.
Once we got to school, I headed to homeroom and took a seat beside Bree. She was writing something down on a sheet of paper, so I decided to ask about it.
"What are you up to?" I asked her, setting my backpack on my desk. She looked up at me and stopped writing.
"Ancient History homework," she said, rolling her eyes. "Mr. Hampton is so annoying."
"He's already giving out homework?" I asked in disbelief. She nodded.
"My French teacher gave us homework too," she told me. "I had to write an essay about French culture. I spent around two hours writing it last night, so I didn't have time for my Anicent History work."
"That sucks." She nodded again.
"Oh!" I said right before she got back to her work. "My dad said after school he'd get me a phone."
"Awesome!" she said excitedly. "Should I go ahead and give you my number? That way, you can just text me after you get your phone and you won't have to wait until tomorrow to give me your number." I nodded. She reached into her bag and pulled out a piece of paper and a pen and wrote down her number. She slid it over onto my desk and smiled.
"I'll text you once I get my phone," I promised.
"Okay."
In European History, Mr. Wilson started speaking to us about the Revolutionary War.
"Isn't this European History?" a boy toward the front of the class asked. "I'm pretty sure the Revolutionary War was an American thing." Mr. Wilson shook his head and rolled his eyes.
"The Revolutionary War was a big thing for Americans, yes," he answered, "but, we were also apart of the war, therefore, we will be learning about it."
After European History and the boring lecture Mr. Wilson gave about the Revolutionary War, I went to maths. Mrs. Dunham had us solve equations she put up on the board while she went out into the hallway and argued with her husband on the phone. It took her almost thirty minutes before she came back in, and she was so angry that she just gave us a page of work in our books to do, and if we didn't finish it in class, we had to do it for homework. Thankfully, I finished with five minutes of class time left.
