*TWO YEARS LATER*
Harry and I had been going strong for over two years. We had recently decided to attend the same university, and luckily, we both got in.
Liam decided to stay in London and go to university there. As much as I enjoyed London, I wanted to leave and explore other parts of England. My family was extremely supportive of my decision and told me to come back and visit them every other weekend. I, of course, agreed to do so.
Harry and I had just moved to Manchester a week ago. We had purchased a flat to share, and it was quite lovely. Not too big, not too small, just perfect for me and Harry.
The day before we left for Manchester, we spent the day with Liam and Louis. Louis seemed really upset that we were leaving. But Harry was Louis's best friend, so it made sense.
Louis had decided, after graduation, that he wanted to take a gap year and work. He wanted to earn a decent amount of money before going anywhere.
The four of us sat in the booth of a pizza parlour as we talked about our departure. Harry and I had planned to come back for a weekend two weeks later, but the boys were sad to see us leaving.
"I haven't been apart from you lot for more than three days at a time for over two years," Louis sighed. "It's gonna be hard getting used to."
"You still have me," Liam promised, smiling at Louis.
"OKay but did I say I wanted that, Liam? No, I didn't." Harry and I laughed. We all knew Louis was joking. I had learned that Louis was harsh toward Liam, but all very jokingly. They loved each other like brothers, and I truly admired their friendship.
"You lot remember Zayn?" I asked. All three boys scoffed. I knew they no longer liked Zayn. It had been two years since each of us had spoken to him. That is, until Zayn approached me at Whole Foods a few days before.
"How are the lads?" He had asked.
"Fine," I mumbled. He nodded his head, avoiding eye contact with me.
"Why'd you leave us?" I asked. "Why'd you just stop speaking to us and go a different direction? I just... I don't understand." Zayn sighed.
"You wouldn't understand."
"Oh yeah?" I asked. "Try me." Zayn shook his head.
"Look, I have to go. Maybe... maybe I'll see you again some day." I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah. Whatever." And I watched Zayn walk away like the coward he was.
"I saw him the other day."
"What?" Louis asked angrily. "Did you talk to him? Did you ask him why he dropped us like we fucking nothing to him?"
"Yeah, he asked me about you lot," I told him calmly. "And when I asked why he left us, he wouldn't say, just said I wouldn't understand."
"Fucking dick," Louis mumbled. "You'd think five years of friendship meant something to someone. Apparently fucking not." I sighed.
"Sorry mate." Louis shrugged.
"It's all right. All water under the bridge now." I smiled and nodded.
"So what time are you two leaving tomorrow?" Liam asked me and Harry.
"Around noon," Harry answered. "We should be in Manchester between two thirty and three."
"Call me when you get there, okay?" Liam asked. I nodded my head.
"Of course, Li."
Harry and I were enjoying our time in Manchester. The city was wonderful, and exploring it with my boyfriend made it a hundred times better.
Currently, Harry and I were lying in our shared bed, cuddling and watching some random sitcom on tv. Harry was stroking my ears with one hand while his other sat lazily on my hip. My face was almost pressed into his chest, and I could smell his wonderful cologne.
"I love you so much, kitten," he breathed. I smiled.
"I love you too, Harry."
"I just want you to know that, no matter what, I love you so much. These past two years with you have been the absolute best years of my life, and... you just make me so happy."
"Is this you proposing to me?" I asked jokingly. Harry let out a clearly sarcastic laugh.
"Can I not confess my love without it being a proposal for marriage?" He asked. I laughed, smiling up at him.
"Of course, baby. And I love you too. But I'm waiting for that marriage proposal," I half-joked. In a sense, I was hoping Harry would propose to me. But I knew we had just started uni, and we had only been together for two years. But... there have been people who've gotten married just months into their relationship, so it really wouldn't be weird at all. But I knew Harry wasn't ready for something like that, so I was content with the relationship we currently had.
"Someday, Horan," he told him. "Someday."
THE END

That's it. Kitten is officially over. :'( :'(
I actually had a lot of fun writing this, even though my writing in the beginning was pretty shitty.
I'd like to thank my bestie for giving me the idea to write a hybrid fanfiction. I'm proud of how far this got and how well people reacted to every chapter. I love reading new comments every other day from people who just joined into the book. It's amazing knowing that people are reading something I wrote and truly enjoying it. It means the world to me.
So thanks so so much for reading. I really appreciate it. If you liked this story, I have others on my profile that you can check out. So do what you please with that information. (:
I love you all and once again, thanks so much for reading. xx
