I start walking home but first I go to stop at the mini mart to get a monster energy drink.
when I walked in I saw the same boy with a scar on his lip from earlier. I then went to the back to get the energy drink from the fridge along the wall.
I walked out of the mini mart and then I saw kyler and his goons. I noticed that their crowding around someone. It was the boy. They were beating him and insulting him.
I finally got the courage to say something "HEY! GET OFF OF HIM!" I yelled.
They all turned around and started laughing. I glared at them and walked up to them. "I've been wanting to do this for a while now." I said while smirking. I easily took them all out while the boy watches with his eyes opened wide and his lips slightly parted.
I stood in the middle of all the goons and Kyler laying on the ground groaning.
I walked over to the boy concerned if he was hurt. "Hey are you ok?" I asked putting a hand on his shoulder. He looked at me with a longing look on his face.
"Thank you" he slipped out while still looking down. "No problem" I said while smiling at him while he blushed. "Here I'll walk you home. I'm trying to avoid going to my house anyway." he nodded and we started walking.
"So why were those boys doing that to you?" I asked.
"Because of my lip" he mutters.
"Why? What's wrong with your lip?" I reply.
He looked at me and pointed to his scar.
"I don't see anything wrong with it. Besides, that scars pretty badass if you ask me." I said while nudging him.
He blushed and smiled. We eventually got to his house after talking about whatever.
"I'm Chloe by the way." I said.
"Eli" He said back. I smile and hand him a slip of paper. "It's my number. It seems like you need someone to talk to. Besides, i don't have much going on in my life so most of the time I'm free to talk."
He quickly takes the paper and smiles and waves while he walks into his house. then i remember, "i have to go home now" The thought sent shivers down my spine. I knew I would eventually have to face my dad again at some point.
