𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝟑𝟐

Chloe's POV:
I was actually in a pretty good mood today since I finally got the courage to ask Hawk if I could sit with Moon. He had been a little paranoid ever since the fight so he felt like he always needed to be right by my side.

I also was a part of her science project group with Demetri and Yasmine.

"Do you guys think you could be friends?" Moon asked Yasmine and I.

"I don't know about friends, but we don't have to be enemies." I said.

"I guess that's an ok idea." Yasmine said sighing.

"Great! Oh look here comes Demetri!" Moon said excitedly.

"Hey! You ready to rock our earth science presentation?" Demetri said excitedly.

"I'm ready to go back to a world where we don't have to talk on a regular basis." Yasmine said annoyed.

"Hey, hey! My popularity is on the rise, while yours is steadily declining. But uh, maybe we can meet in the middle, like a sexual Venn diagram." Demetri said making the hand motion.

Yasmine responded with a disgusted look while Moon and I laughed.

"So what's under the sheet?" Moon asked.

"Glad you asked. Behold... what scientists believe to be the Valley when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Go ahead, press the hadrosaur egg." Demetri said.

Yasmine hesitantly pushed the egg. As soon as she did, smoke came out of the volcano, and the project made noise.

Moon and I looked at each other shocked. I was really impressed. We were definitely gonna get an A.

Demetri we explaining to us very quickly all the details of the project when suddenly a soccer ball came and destroyed the entire project.

"Ohhh. Sorry man. Looks like my ball just got away from me." Hawk said sarcastically.

He was really being an asshole right now. I let the whole Nathaniel thing slide since he helped me, but this time I wasn't gonna let him get away with it.

"That took me three weeks to build." Demetri said sounding like he was on the verge of tears.

"Eh, took my ball three seconds to destroy." Hawk said laughing.

"Go. Don't let him get away with it." I whispered to Demetri once Hawk walked away.

"Another week, another pissing contest. Although I shouldn't be surprised since you love pissing so much." Demetri said angrily.

"You landed one kick. You got lucky." Hawk spat.

"You better back off, or you won't be lucky." Sam said walking up.

"This isn't your battle Sam." I said looking over at her.

"Yeah. Like you'll start anything, princess. Actually, why don't you go sleep around with someone new, and break his heart?" Hawk said.

"Hawk!" I yelled letting him know that what he just said was awful.

Sam got angry and pushed him.

"What's going on here Miss LaRusso?" Counselor Blatt sternly asked.

"You know our new guidelines on physical contact." She continued.

"Did she enter your personal bubble without your consent?" She asked concerned.

"Yeah, she definitely triggered me in my safe space." Hawk said acting like the old Eli.

"What are you talking about? He started by destroying my science project." Demetri chimed in.

"That was an accident! You probably shouldn't bring your toys to school anyway." Hawk said.

"I don't want excuses I just want you all to respect each other." Counselor Blatt explained.

"She's right guys. We should stop the aggression. Micro and macro." Hawk fake agreed which pissed me off more.

"Oh, give me a break." Sam said not buying his whole act.

"Hey. Consider this a warning, Miss LaRusso. Get these legos off the ground someone could get hurt." Counselor Blatt scolded.

As soon as she walked away I grabbed Hawks hand and dragged him out to the hallway where nobody else was.

"Hey what was that for?" Hawk asked holding his wrist.

"You know what I'm mad about. What the hell was that?! I mean slut shaming Sam? You're better than that Eli! And why'd you destroy Demetris project? That was my project too, you know?" I yelled.

Hawks face filled with guilt.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have shamed Sam like that. I was just pissed and in the moment." He explained. I could tell this wasn't the fake thing he was doing in the cafe. He meant what he said.

"And I saw the way Demetri was looking at you, and how close he was to you, it just made me, well.." He trailed off.

"Jealous?" I asked.

He looked down embarrassment making me laugh.

"Hawk, I can promise you, I love you and only you. I don't feel that way for Demetri. I would never leave you for him." I said holding his hands in mine.

"You promise?" He asked.

"I promise." I said smiling and leaning in to kiss him on his cheek.

He blushed a little which I still found so cute.

I hugged him tightly and once we pulled away I grabbed his hand and we walked back into the cafe hand in hand.
