I woke up in Ruvik's mansion. Surprisingly, I had woken up before him. I looked at him. He seemed to be smiling in his sleep, which caused me to smile. I looked at the time and saw that it was almost 10 AM. I didn't know if I should awaken him or not. I thought I should so that he doesn't wake up groggy, but at the same time, he looked so peaceful. I got out of bed but that was enough to wake him up. "Good morning." He sat up and planted a kiss onto my cheek. I smiled and returned the gesture. "How'd you sleep?" He lips pulled up into a smile. "Pretty good." I heard a noise from the adjoined bedroom next door. It sounded as if someone had opened a dresser. "Who is that?" I nearly whispered to Ruvik. "Go see." He smiled once again. I opened the door that connected the two bedrooms.
"Connelly!" I ran to him and hugged him tightly. He smiled a very cheery smile and hugged me back, then picked me up and spun me around in the air. "Hey Jen." I giggled as he put down. "Are you going to live here now?" He nodded. "Yes."
I didn't even hear Ruvik walk into the room, but that didn't surprise me. "I figured he could help us with the baby." Ruvik came closer to me and placed his hands on my waist. I gulped and remembered what had happened last night. Right. I was probably pregnant. I needed to take the test to prove it, then we could actually prepare for it. I turned back to Connelly. I saw that his smile had turned into a depressing frown. "What's wrong?" He looked back at me and shook his head. "Nothing. Should I make breakfast?" "No, you don't need to do that. I'll make it." Before either of them could say another word, I had left the room, but didn't actually go downstairs. I wanted to see what they would say to each other if I had left.
"I brought you back for her. If you make a move, you're going back to that brainless numbskull that you were before. And I won't turn you back."
Ruvik walked into the hallway and saw me eavesdropping. I looked at him unhappily. "You don't need to call him names." He rolled his eyes. "I wasn't calling him names, I was calling his zombie-self names. You don't need to bother with breakfast. I'll make it." He walked past me, but not before kissing my cheek quickly. I blushed a little and walked back to Connelly.
I found him sitting on the bed, crying. I gasped and ran over to him. "Don't cry... Try to ignore him... He never learned to know how far to go with being..." He cut me off. "Honest? Because he's right. All I was was a dope." I felt tears begin to swell in my eyes. "Don't call yourself that... please..." He looked at me and wiped away the one tear that escaped. "I'm sorry." I grabbed his hand and looked into his eyes, smiling. "Just don't do it anymore." He nodded. "I won't."
