Chapter 8- An Old Friend

I woke up with my throat feeling sore and dry. I looked around to see that I was in some type of factory. There were pipes with fire in them everywhere.
There was a fence, and from the inside of the fence, I heard a loud breathing sound. That and it sounded as if someone, or something, was crawling on the fence. I stood up, feeling a little stronger than I was previously. I looked down to see that the fence was more like a very big cage. Inside the cage, was a spider looking thing. Her hair was long and as black as the night. Just looking at her terrified me. She seemed to be covered in burns. Boy, she wasn't pretty. I also realised that she was wearing shoes, but that was the only article of clothing that she wore. She had long claws that could leave a very deadly cut in someone.
I had one objective, and that was to get the hell out of here. I walked down some stairs and saw a lever. I pulled it the instant I saw it. But, once I did, that frightening creature escaped her cage. I crawled under the gate that was slowly being lifted. But she had gotten me. She grabbed my ankle and pulled me towards her. She raised one of her hands, about to squish my head, but then was when I realised who she was. "Laura?.." She paused the moment I said her name. She looked at me with her beautiful yet spine-chilling eyes. "Laura, it is you!" I hugged her and she surprisingly hugged me back. "Jennifer!" She remembered me! Her voice sounded hoarse, not like it once was, silky and soothing. "What happened to you? I mean.. you're still.. pretty.. but.." She interrupted me. "There's no need to lie to me, I know that I'm a hideous creature. I died, so Ruben tried to bring me back with any way possible. But he tried one way, the only way that would work, and it turned me into what I am now... an ugly monstrosity." I stood up and sighed. "You're not that bad." She sighed as well. "If you say so." I grabbed one of her hands that wasn't helping her walk, it was there just kinda for show, to make her scarier. Maybe for combat purposes. "We need to get out of here. Come on." I looked up and saw that Sebastian was standing in front of us. In his big hands was a kick-ass crossbow. He shot a fire harpoon at Laura. I screamed in unison with her. "Laura, NO!!" Her scream was blood-curdling. I didn't like it, at all. She dove into the ground and came out of a corpse that happened to be by Seb. She pinned him to the floor and raised one of her hands, just like she had done before. I shouted, "Stop! Both of you! There is no need to fight! We're all friends!" Laura got off of Sebastian and walked towards me. "She's nice?.." Seb asked. I nodded, "Of course she is! Don't just assume!"
He walked towards me. "What's going on between you and Ruvik?" I sighed and looked at the floor. "Nothing anymore."
My chin was tilted upwards by someone's ice-cold hands. I thought it was Seb, but when I looked up, it was Ruvik. He gave me his cute smirk. "You did miss me." I nodded, then smiled big and kissed him hard. He smiled against my lips and placed his hands on my waist. "Aww!" Laura squealed in happiness. "I always wanted you two to be a couple!" I giggled and broke the kiss. "Ruvik, I choose you. If I ever see Connelly again, I'm telling him no." He bit his lip. "Yeah, about him.."

I know that in the actual game, Laura is just a monster that can't talk, and the way that I said isn't how she's actually created. But I made this up because it fit with my story. By the way, I never thought my story would get nearly as many views as it has. Thank you all so, so much for reading it! Or at least taking the time to take a peek at it. Thank you. :')
