Chapter 12- I Love Him

I turned around and saw Joseph. I glared at him. He looked back at me and furrowed his eyebrows. "Why do you even want to marry him? Never mind dating him, but marrying him?! Really?"
"Fuck off Joseph!" Laura roared.
I looked to Ruvik and realised that he had his hands clenched into fists. His eyes stared at Joseph with loathing.
I was afraid he was going to take further action, so I walked towards Joseph. "Why do you care? I know him better than you do. Deep down, he's a real sweet guy." I blurted out all my reasons for falling in love with Ruvik. "I doubt any of that." Joseph stepped closer to me. "He turned me into a monster." He spoke quietly, but not quite whispering.
I turned around and saw Ruvik's eyes were filling with tears and his fists shaking. "I'm sorry. I turned him into a monster right after Connelly. I didn't want you to be swayed by his charm that I don't have." My mouth opened, but nothing came out. I looked back to Joseph and hugged him tightly.
I walked back to Ruvik and kissed his lips. "As long as you won't do it again, it's okay." He looked at me with the most grateful gaze. "Thank you. I don't know what I'd do without you." I hugged him tight, not wanting to ever let go. "I love you Ruvik." He kissed my cheek and smiled. "I love you too."
"Seriously? He lies to you and you actually fall for it?" Joseph nearly shouted at us. His face was crimson red with fury. "Why him?! You know he's a criminal! Excuses won't keep him out of jail!" I whispered something to Ruvik and he nodded.
I walked back to Joseph and kissed his lips softly. His eyes widened with surprise but he kissed me back. I stopped and pushed him away. "Now leave, now that you've gotten what you came here for." He nodded and smiled big. He walked out of the room.
That was when Ruvik pinned me against the wall (he obviously loves doing this). I heard Laura walk away. Ruvik pressed his lips to mine then began to kiss my cheek, then went lower, to my neck. "Ruv... what are you doing?" He smirked and held my hands. "Just... trying something..." He placed his lips back onto my neck gently and began to suck on it. "Ruv... don't..." I was always taught it was wrong to have intercourse before marriage. "Why?" He smiled again and looked into my eyes. "We're not married..." He put the ring onto my finger and then held out his finger. I blushed and gulped, then placed the gold band around his finger. He kissed me again, then we had the best night ever.
