Chapter 9- Apologies

"What do you mean 'about him'?" I said somewhat angrily.
Ruvik bit his lip and looked to the opposite corner.
I followed his eyes and saw Connelly. Except.. he wasn't who he used to be. He had bloody warts and cracks all over his once beautiful face. I ran over to him and looked into his eyes.
His eyes were very pale and discoloured. I cried heavily to the point of my voice being hoarse. Once I finished, I turned around and ran back to Ruvik. I kicked him in the worst place. He screamed and looked up to me with tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry... I didn't know you'd really take me back so I changed Connelly as revenge..." I was about to punch him but Laura grabbed my hand. "No. Fighting is what you're about, right?" My rage faded as I looked into Laura's kind eyes. "Yeah... you're right..." She let go of my hand and I walked to Sebastian.
"Ruvik is an ass." He growled. I nodded. "I know... but everyone is at one point or another." Sebastian looked into my eyes. "You deserve better than Ruvik." I blushed a little and backed away. "Uh..." He pressed his lips against mine, but shortly after he did, Ruvik teleported to us and he pulled Seb away. "Don't you EVER touch her again." Sebastian narrowed his eyes. "Hmph." He walked away and shook his head.
I walked back over to Ruvik and held his hands. He looked at our hands then into my eyes. Chills ran down my spine, and not because of his ice-cold skin. His eyes. Whenever they looked at me I felt powerless. I try to look away but I can't.
"I'm really sorry about Connelly.." I kissed his cheek lightly and smiled a little. "Don't worry about it." He interlocked his fingers with mine and his lips were suddenly on mine. My heartbeat sped up and I closed my eyes.
"Cuties." Laura giggled.
Ruvik pulled his lips away from mine and kneeled down, still holding my hands.
"I never thought I would ask this question in my entire life... Will you be Mrs. Victoriano?"
I swallowed and began to feel dizzy.
"Jennifer?.."
