My Wolf

CHAPTER 3

Jughead

Toni linked me this morning and said that she was assigned to give the new girl a tour. A few minutes later I received confirmation that she was definitely a wolf. Now that we know that she is in fact a werewolf we need to find out why she is here. I link Toni her next steps.

J - Bring her to the cafeteria to have lunch with us. I'm going to sneak into the office and see if I can find out where she came from.

T - You got it boss

As soon as the bell rings I get up and make my way to the office. Ms. Bell is on her lunch break so I sit behind her computer and look through her open files. A few moments later I found it; Elizabeth Cooper, 17 years old, transferred from Eastdale high, Parents: Emancipated, Emergency contact: none. Wow, this girl really is alone. I quickly put Ms. Bell's tabs back in order and look around to make sure everything is in place before I head to the cafe, quickly linking my dad on the way.

J - She is 17, no parents, no emergency contact

FP - Really? Ok you guys need to get close to her. Find out if she is a spy or just a lone wolf.

As I push open the doors to the cafeteria I am almost run over by a blonde who is fleeing the cafeteria, Toni right behind her. I watch them run down the hallway before I turn around and look at the serpent table, the rest of the pack are trying to hold Fangs down from trying to punch Chuck Clayton. I walk over to them and look at Fangs in the eyes while ordering him down, he slowly starts to calm so I turn to the rest of the serpents and ask them what happened

Betty

Toni pushes open the doors to the cafeteria and leads me over to a table of people who I assumed to be her friends. We approached the table and sat down, then she began to introduce me to her friends, "so Betty this is Sweet Pea and this is Fangs. Jughead should be here in a couple minutes." I gave them both smiles and then sat quietly as Toni ranted to us about how infuriating her math teacher is. She is really talkative but I really do enjoy her company.

Toni was nowhere near finished when I heard a taunting voice behind me. "Hey new girl, what are you doing sitting with the scum?" Scum? "Shut up Chuck," Fangs said, obviously annoyed. "What is it that makes them scum exactly? " I asked, genuinely curious as to what superficial reason this jock has to treat them that way. "I don't think there is anything wrong with them." Toni broke a grin as she sat watching the exchange. "Of course you don't, how could you when you dress like a dog yourself. You know what, I know how to complete the look." Chuck then grabbed a bowl of chili from the tray of a passing freshman and dumped it all over my head.

I stand up and try to run to the bathrooms as tears stung my eyes. I can hear shouting behind me as I run through the doors with chili covering my eyes, I almost take out another student on the way but I don't stop until I am in the girls change room. I hear Toni come in behind me as I break down on the floor, she comes and holds me as I cry, then she gets me up and helps me wash the chili out of my hair. She gets my cleaned up and then sits with me as I cry some more. It's only day one, how could it have gone so downhill?
