Betty

A few days after graduation I threw myself into wedding planning. I know I need to spend some time learning about pack traditions and such but at the very least I can set an exact date and look at flower choices. I had never thought I would ever find a boyfriend much less marry the love of my life at 18 years old. Sure to humans it sounds crazy but this is just the way things work in our world and I couldn't be happier about it. From what I've been told I don't have bride's maids per say, the ceremony is just me, Jug, and the current alpha, so FP. The ceremony is performed while we are in wolf form so I don't need a wedding dress but I do need to find something to wear to the reception. So here I am, standing in front of Toni's door. Hoping that when I tell her and Cheryl that I want them to help me plan they won't go crazy and I end up drowning in a proverbial sea of opinions.

I gave a good knock on the door before waiting. If it was just Toni I would have walked right in but I've learned from previous unfortunate experiences to knock when Cheryl is over. I hear Toni yell come in so I walk through the door to find Cheryl going through her closet, something Cheryl does when she is bored. Toni was just chilling on her bed, letting her girlfriend sift through her clothes for no apparent reason. "Hey guys," I chirped. Toni immediately looked up from her phone and Cheryl's head popped out from the closet. "You sound happy," Toni said suspiciously. Cheryl was eyeing me up and down like looking at me would reveal the answer. I just chuckled and jumped on the bed. "Yep."

"Alright Betty, what is it that has you in such a joyous mood, is hobo planning something?" Cheryl remarks with a smirk. "More like I have to plan something, and I need both your help." I couldn't help but laugh at the frustrated looks on their faces, clearly over the game. "Out with it, what are you planning that has you grinning like an idiot." Toni urged. "According to pack tradition, the future alpha and luna must take part in a special ceremony that all the other packs are invited too. Traditionally it lets everyone know that they are taken. So we have to-" I was explaining but Cheryl cut me off, "PLAN A WEDDING." "Essentially," I said, beaming. "We get to decide the reception and decorations, the procedures of the ceremony are tradition and not changing." I said pointedly, looking more towards Cheryl, who has been known to get caught up and forget that there are rules to follow. "Well then what are we waiting for!"

Three weeks later

Jughead

The girls have been working on the wedding for weeks, poor Betty looked absolutely exhausted when she came to bed last night. She basically collapsed on top of me and was out within seconds. That's why I was slightly confused as to why I woke up this morning and she wasn't beside me. I sat up and looked around the room, the bathroom light was on and I could hear someone inside. It took my brain a second to figure out it was Betty but once I connected the dots I jumped out of bed. "Baby" I said softly, standing by the mostly closed door. I didn't want to just burst into the bathroom without her permission. I listened but got no response so I poked my head in. My eyes found my beautiful fiancé keeled over the toilet, spilling her guts.

I was on my knees next to her in less than a second. I carefully gathered her loose hair into one hand and then started rubbing her back with the other.

J - Let it out honey

My heart shattered as I watched her heave into the bowl. Once it looked like she was finished I carefully gathered her into my arms and pulled her to lean on my chest as I leaned on the wall. "Are you ok?" I whispered while softly stroking her hair, moving the pieces that were stuck to her sweaty forehead. "Yeah," she replied quietly, "just a little nauseous." I kissed her hair and then lifted her up and carried her to bed. I made sure she was comfortable and then got in my side and pulled her close. She immediately started pushing me away, "No Jug, you'll get sick." I just chuckled and held her squirming body tighter. "Sweetheart I don't care." "But I do, I can't have you sick because of me. Just go tell Toni that I can't do planning today and go get some breakfast, I'll be fine." I sighed, giving her a kiss on her temple before I reluctantly got out of bed and headed for the door. "Please link me if you need anything." I said and waited for her to nod, I knew she probably wouldn't so I would try to make this as fast as possible.

I waltzed into Toni's room and turned on the lights, laughing at how both her and Cheryl tried to cover their eyes. Cheryl's hand grabbed a decorative pillow from the ground and chucked it at me, I caught it and whipped it back at them. "Alright I didn't come here just to annoy you," though I still would have done it if that was the only reason available. "Betty isn't feeling well so don't count on her helping you plan today." Cheryl opened her mouth to say something but I cut her off, "No you can't go in there and talk to her about wedding stuff, she needs rest." With that I left, making sure to leave the lights on when I closed the door.

I made my way down to the kitchen to find the cooks busy at work. I put in my order of eggs, bacon, oatmeal, toast, and two fruit salads. While I was waiting I found my dad at the counter. "Morning," I said, "Morning boy," he replied sleepily. "What are you doing up, you're never awake this early," he questioned and I just sighed, "I woke up to Betty puking in the bathroom, once I got her back to bed I was already awake. She won't let me near her in case I get sick so I figured I would come get some breakfast." He just gave me a smirk with a look that I couldn't quite discern. "Well I hope she feels better," he simply says and turns back to his food, that same smirk still playing on his lips. My food was ready so I just let it go and headed upstairs.

I opened the door to find Betty laying on her side facing the door, her eyes were closed but I could tell she was awake. "Baby I got you some toast and fruit salad," I said quietly. She nodded and sat up. I helped her eat but she only got half of it down before she ran back to the bathroom. I sighed and followed her, falling right back into the positions we were in earlier this morning. "At a girl," I whispered as she threw up everything she just ate.

FP

I noticed it a couple of days ago, Betty smelled different. I'm honestly surprised Jug hasn't figured it out yet. Her being sick just confirmed it. Now all that has to happen is for them to figure it out.
