Betty

I woke up and for a moment I forgot what had happened, that lasted for about 3 seconds before I tried to move and my body screamed at me in pain. I looked around and realised I was in the woods under a tree; and I was still a wolf. My emotions took over me as I took in my current situation. In my head I was crying but it came out as some kind of whimper from the wolf. A wolf. How is that even possible? Suddenly I heard a twig snap and a majestic black wolf rounded the tree. I retreated as far back into the tree as possible before the most beautiful voice I have ever heard filled my head.

J - Betty?

I just looked at him with fear filled eyes, I didn't know how to answer him so I just nodded my head. Though I was so scared I couldn't take my eyes off him, it was like the rest of the world faded away when I looked into his eyes; I felt safe.

J - It's ok. I'm Toni's friend, Jughead.

Oh that's right, Toni did mention a Jughead that was supposed to meet us at Pop's. I couldn't put my finger on it but there was something about him, it was almost like I was ready to trust him with my life.

Jughead

Holy Fuck. She is my mate. Her scent smelled amazing while I was tracking it but as soon as I saw her I knew. It was like my world stopped spinning and she is now the only thing that matters. As I looked into her eyes I saw that she felt it too, but I don't think she knows what it means.

J - Did you know you are a werewolf?

I grew confused as she shook her head no, how could you not know that? I brushed it off as I watched her looking at me with a quizzical expression all over her face.

J - You can talk to me you know. I don't bite.

B - I don't know how.

That voice. It was the most angelic thing I had ever heard. I chuckled at her response before a look of realisation came over her face and she cowered away in embarrassment.

J - It's ok, everyone gets a little weirded out by the link. Can you walk?

B - I think so.

I watched as she wobbled to her feet and pain flashed through her eyes. I saw her try to hold back the tears as she dropped her head in agony.

J - The pain should be gone in a couple hours. The first shift always causes some pain.

She looked at me with those beautiful green eyes and I melted, subconsciously I took a step towards her before I realised what I was doing. I looked at her to see if she was afraid but I couldn't see any sign that she wanted to get away from me.

J - Can I come closer?

She nodded and I slowly approached her. When I stood in front of her I noticed that I was a whole head taller than her. She seemed comfortable so I continued around her body, smelling her while also checking to make sure she didn't hurt herself on the run. I came back around to her head and noticed her sniffing the air.

J - Do you like it?

B - Like what?

J - The smell.

She simply nodded before realising it was coming from me. She carefully took a step towards me while still sniffing the air. I bowed my head as a signal to her that she could smell me and she seemed to get the message. She carefully made her way around me; as she rounded her way back to my head she brushed her body against mine and I felt the butterflies. She placed her head under my chin and I leaned into the touch, suddenly desperate to never be separated from her.

She was in front of me again and my thoughts were interrupted by Toni.

T - We diffused the situation. FP says to bring Betty to the pack house when you find her, I will meet you outside with some clothes.

I now had to make Betty walk the entire way back to the pack house, that wouldn't be fun in a newly shifted body.

J - I know it hurts but we have to get back to the pack house. Toni will meet us there with clothes for when we shift back.

B - I don't know how to do that.

J - Don't worry, I'll teach you

And with that we started through the woods towards the pack house, Betty by my side as I finally felt whole.
