"Kenma! Are you almost ready? The bus will be here any minutes now!" yelled Kuroo impatiently as he waited for his friend to get ready. "Yes! Let me just grab my backpack, hold on-" replied Kenma, who seemed out of breath. Kuroo watched as his friend walked out of the front door, carrying his backpack, his Nintendo switch, and a cat named Pudding. "Kenma..." said Kuroo as he grinned at the boy. "Leave the cat here..." Kenma gently set down his furry friend and chuckled in embarrassment, "Oh yeah... ooops-"

The two boys walked down the street to the nearest bus stop. Today was another day of high school. Boring, old, high school. Sadly, the two boys didn't have any classes together, due to Kuroo being a year older than Kenma. Kenma didn't really mind this, but Kuroo couldn't stand it. School was bad enough, but without Kenma? It was down right unbearable. He never wanted to leave his best friend behind, so not being there for him during class was exceptionally stressful. The two had worked out an arrangement to meet before and after school, every day. They would do things like practice volleyball at the park, study in coffee shops, play video games at the arcade, (or Kenma's house) and so on.

"Kuro?" asked Kenma in a soft voice. (Kuro was a nickname Kenma had given him, and Kuroo liked it a lot, even if he didn't admit it.) "Yes? Something wrong?" asked the tall boy. Kenma shook his head, "No, I- I'm just wondering, are you planning on going to college?" Kuroo stopped and looked at him. He had never thought about it much. He would be graduating this year. Time flew by, it seemed like yesterday he and Kenma were on the playground, playing tag. Kuroo shrugged, "I haven't thought about it much Kitten..." he replied. (Kitten was a nickname Kuroo had given Kenma, but it was hard to tell if Kenma loved it, or hated it.) "Oh okay... You really should think about it, I mean- you graduate this year..." he said quietly. "Do you want me to leave for college?" asked Kuroo jokingly. "I- uh- no... I don't ever want you... to leave me..." said Kenma so quietly, Kuroo could barely hear him. He smiled at what Kenma had just said, "Good thing you aren't tired of me yet Kitten! I plan on spending the rest of my life with you!" Kuroo said as he laughed. Kenma could feel a blush creep across his pale cheeks. "The rest of your life? With me?" he asked, making sure he heard him correctly. Kuroo nodded, "Yep!" Kuroo could see Kenma's red cheeks, making him blush a little as well. "Anyways- so um- What do you wanna do after school today?" asked Kuroo as he poked Kenma's shoulder. "Maybe video games? At my house?" Kenma answered. Kuroo grinned, "Okay! Sounds good Kitten," he smirked at Kenma making Kenma look away.

Kuroo loved going to Kenma's house. It might sound kinda creepy, but his house smelled like Kenma, and everything in it, reminded him of his Kitten.

The two boys continued walking to the bus stop, arriving just in time to step onto the crowded bus. They made their way to the back of the bus, sitting down on the same seat. All the girls giggled and stared in awe as they say Kuroo enter the bus. They all looked at him and whispered to each other. Of course, Kuroo was very popular. Sure, he didn't hang out with a lot of people, but everyone knew who he was. All the girls adored him, and all the guys for that matter. Everyone liked him, because, what wasn't there to like about Kuroo? He was kind, funny, smart, athletic, and very, very, handsome. Kenma would never admit it, but Kuroo was incredibly attractive. Not that he liked him or anything, but it was impossible to deny Kuroo's charm. He wondered if people found him attractive as well. Probably not, his messy blond hair with overgrown roots, and his cat-like eyes weren't very appealing. But oh well, who cares. Kuroo didn't seem to mind, so he didn't either.

Once they arrived at school, they had to part ways and walk to their classes. Kenma waved at Kuroo as he walked down the long hallway of Nekoma high. "Bye Kuro," he said as Kuroo returned the goodbye wave. Kuroo smiled at him before walking towards his class, disappearing into the crowd. As Kuroo walked, a familiar grey-haired-russian-japanese-boy, Lev Haiba, walked beside him. "Hey Kuroo! What's up?" he asked as he excitedly pranced around Kuroo. "Nothing much, just uh- school..." replied Kuroo. Lev giggled and skipped down the hall, leaving Kuroo behind.
