I couldn't help but laugh.
"What do you mean you're sorry? You could've stopped that, but you just stood there, watching as he took me into that room..." I felt tears begin to pour down my cheeks. "I trusted you goddamit! And you just watched! I hate you..." I cursed as I scoffed in disbelief.

"Listen Kenma I-" he said as he took a step towards me.

"Go away!" I screamed. The room was spinning, my emotions were out of control.

"I couldn't do anything! If he knew I had connections to you he would've killed us both! Im sorry, I never meant for any of this to happen. Not to you..." he explained. I rolled my eyes.

"Why are you even a part of this Ryo? You're fucking seventeen and you're in some kind of gang? What the hell?!" I shouted furiously.

He frowned, "I didn't have a choice... Not everyone gets to choose their destiny Kenma. I never planned for any of this to happen. I- I'm sorry... I truly am..." Without another word he left the room, leaving me alone. I was buried under a heap of emotions. Pain. Agony. Hatred. Fear. And loss. Loss of a friend. Loss of someone who I thought was there for me. He supposedly liked me, but maybe that was a lie too...

(Kuroo's POV)

I slammed open the door of the police department, immediately running towards the front desk. Missing persons posters were plastered on every corner of the room, the reward was raised to a whopping 10,936,200 yen. ($100,000 US dollars)

I pounded my fist on the front desk to get their attention.

"Excuse me sir? Oh goodness... Kuroo-" said one of my friends, Haruko, who worked at the station. "We're still looking for him, I-"

I panted as I blurted out, "The bar, about four miles from here... Someone-" I paused to catch my breath, "Someone saw Kenma..."

"WHAT?! WHEN? TODAY?" Haruko asked as he scanned through Kenma's file. I sadly shook my head.

"No... Like two or three weeks ago..." I mumbled. He frowned.

"Kuroo- I-... I hate to say this but-" he added.

I slammed my fist down furiously, grabbing his collar and saying, "Dont you dare tell me he's dead. Don't you dare..." I threatened.

He furrowed his brows and stepped back, "Kuroo, please calm down-"

"How can I be calm?! You are sitting around here doing abso-fucking-lutely nothing! If you really care about me and him, do us both a favor and find him. Bring him home to me... Please..." I sobbed, releasing him. He stared at the ground and sighed.

"I will send a squad down to that bar to check it out right away..." he informed me. I nodded and paced back in forth in the lobby.

Thousands of thoughts raced through my head.

My fear was getting the best of me.

Stay strong Kitten. For me...

***
(Haruko's POV)

Me and eight other officers, including two detectives, headed down to the bar Kuroo had told me about. It seemed pretty normal, a bunch of drunks and druggies admiring the half naked waitresses. I saw an alleyway that looked kind of suspicious so me and five of the officers checked it out while the others interrogated a few of the customers.

Just some graffiti, a cat, and... huh?

What is that...

A bright red object caught my eye. A red hair clip with a black cat on the end. I picked it up, inspecting the small clip. It seemed familiar some how, I swear I've seen this before....

I noticed a thin strand of caramel blond hair attached to it. My heart sank.

I know who this belonged to.

This belonged to the boyfriend of one of my closest friends...

Kenma Kozume.

(A/n: Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well! This chapter kind of sucked but hopefully the next one will be better. I think there is going to be roughly another five or six chapters. (It kinda depends on how long they are and what I decide for the ending) It could end up being like ten chapters, I'm not quite sure yet. Anyways, thank you all so much! We're almost at 800 reads, shortly after reaching 700! That's crazy!!!!)

Love you all,

-Ace
