[Genshin Impact] Ganyu x Reader - Snowball fight

the way i gasped when she showed up in the main story tho.

i love her.

anyways, i've only seen one fanfic of her (with a female reader) and that makes me sad, so i did it myself.

[reader REALLY likes snow. a lot.]

k lets go.

"Ganyu...~" You whispered into your girlfriend's ear. She was asleep in your shared bed, and currently, you were trying to shake her awake.
Despite not really needing it, Ganyu likes to sleep. She says that it's a nice feeling. In reality, she just likes to cuddle with you.

"Ganyu... Ganyu... Ganyu!"

She yelped and woke up immediately.
"Y-Y/N? Why did you do that?"

"Ganyu~! Look outside! It's snowing!" You said in a cheerful voice.

"Erm... haven't you been to Dragonspine before? There was lots of snow there too." Ganyu pointed out, sitting up fully.

"Well, yeah, but this time it's different! It never snows around here, and staying away from a fire for too long won't get us killed! Come on, let's go outside!"

"You have a point, but... what if we freeze?"

"You have a cryo vision, and I survived Dragonspine. We'll be fine."

"I meant 'what if we get a col-"

"I said we'll be fine! Now put on a coat or whatever and let's go out!" And with that, you skipped your way out of the room, most likely off to find something warm to wear.

"...I'm not getting out of this, am I?" The half-qilin sighed, getting up and starting to look through stuff to wear.

[About 10 minutes later...]

"Look at all the snow!" You cheered happily as you stepped outside, resisting the temptation to dive headfirst into the snow. Instead, you decided to crouch down and try to form a snowball.
Ganyu stepped out of the house a few minutes after you, wearing a hat that had her horns poking through the top.

"What are you doing?" She asked, coming over to you. You snickered quietly. She had no idea what was coming...

"Hey, look! A puppy!" You pointed behind her.

"What? Wher-"

WHAP.
You had thrown the snowball at the back of her head. She turned around quickly, blushing.

"Y-Y/N! Why did you do that?!" She pouted. You immediately broke out into laughter.

"It's funny!"

"No, it's not!"

"Haha! You should've seen the look on your fac-"

WHAP.
You blinked. Ganyu had thrown a snowball at you. She giggled, seeing your surprised face.

"Is that a challenge?!"

"Maybe~" With that, she ran off to go make a lot more snowballs.

"Oh, it's on." You whispered.

The two of you started a snowball fight. Ganyu, obviously having a cryo vision, was able to make snowballs and snow forts much quicker than you.
From inside your snow fort, which looked more like an igloo, you had somehow managed to build a snow catapult. Yes, because that's an easy thing you can do. You attempted to launch the catapult, but failed miserably as it came crumbling down. Looking down from her extremely tall snow fort, your girlfriend giggled, and started to load up her working snow catapult. How did she make it?
...Nobody knows.
Well, either way, you were in for a ride.
While you mourned over the loss of your catapult, you heard an "INCOMING!". You looked out the window of your snow fort, and saw a flurry of snowballs flying right at you.
That was the end of your snow fort.

"SCREW YOU GANYU!" You yelled, flipping her off.

"Don't be a sore loser, Y/N!" She yelled back, laughing.

This epic battle continued on for about 3 hours.

"Achoo!" You sneezed, huddling under the warm blanket Ganyu has grabbed for you.

She sighed. "...This is why I was worried."

"Hey! You participated in that snowball fight, so it's partially your fault that I'm sick."

"Ah." She thought about that for a second. "Well, sorry. Anyway, I should go buy some medicine for you-"

"Nooooo..." You mumbled. "Stay with me... please?"

"But you need medicine..."

"Please...?"

"Okay, fine. But I'll have to go get that medicine eventually."

"Mhm... now come over here and cuddle me!"

"Sure." She came over and placed your head on her chest and wrapped her arms around you, mumbling something like "If I get sick because of you, I swear..."

The two of you fell asleep like that, wrapped in each other's arms.

Surprisingly, Ganyu didn't get sick, despite all the physical contact you've shared.

i low key kind of hate this but i spent too long on it and put too much effort into this for me to just delete it.

fun fact: i spent some of the time i wasn't working on this practicing how to write angst.

also sorry if Ganyu is out of character, i am but a mere Adventure Rank 31.
