[genshin impact] nightmares

[TW: probably scary things mentioned in this chapter?? idk man but just be careful pls!!]

i uh had a nightmare once where i was francis from the cat movie felidae but i was standing like a human and i was holding paws with an all white cat and the villain cat had a gun and he shot me in the neck and the white cat just... ran away like a bitch.
i could hear her running away until i faded out from the dream and woke up.

the weirdest thing was that i could like... feel the wound. when i jolted awake i felt everything, the pain of the wound, not being able to move, a fucking,,, hole in my neck. and so i was frantically touching my neck, taking pictures with my phone to make sure i wasn't actually like. dying.

the only time i've felt something that happened in a dream like that before was when i had a dream where my partner bit my neck and things got... heated, to say the least.

ok anyway yeah where am i going with this???

oh right!! yeah so in this chapter you have like. a nightmare that you thought was real.

Ayaka

-you woke her up with your sobbing and frantic shuffling.

-it literally only took her a second to realize what was happening

-and once she did, she also panicked.

-violently shook you awake, to which you yelped and shot up

-"a-ayaka...?"

-you flinched when she tried to touch your arm

-"y/n, are you okay?! you were.. crying in your sleep!"

-"i..i'm fine.. it was just a nightmare.."

-you were shivering.

-"care to tell me about it?"

-nodding, you told her the nightmare.

-in said nightmare, ayaka had told you she didn't love you anymore, among other things. and you had desperately tried to reach out to her, to get her back, but she was too far. the fear of losing her was what you were panicking about.

-"..and that's all."

-"y/n, i would never, ever do any of that to you! dearest, i love you so so so much, and i am never ever going to leave you, okay? and.. if it's alright, may i hug you?"

-instead of her hugging you, you broke down sobbing, hugging her instead.

-ayaka pat your head, repeatedly whispering "shh"s and "i'm here"s.

-though she may seem calm, she is absolutely panicked on the inside.

-once you fall back asleep, it takes ayaka a little longer to sleep.

-she wants to keep an eye on you, make sure you don't wake up.

-ayaka is just so precious god i love her she is a BLESSING <3
