"Y/N! Look look look~!" Your roommate (and girlfriend) Hu Tao had burst through the door, holding a small, Labrador puppy.

"Hu Tao..." You sighed. This wasn't the first time the brunette had brought in a stray animal. Usually, you two would keep it for a few days, make sure it's healthy, then give it to a shelter. Though sometimes (okay, a lot of the time), Hu Tao got attached to the animal. You would have two choices in that situation: 1. Keep it, or 2. Give it to the shelter anyway and break Hu Tao's heart.
You mostly ended up picking the 1st option, because seeing your girlfriend sad was something that you didn't like.
So far, you had 2 cats, 4 dogs, a few snakes, some frogs, and plenty of geckos. Surprisingly, Hu Tao takes very good care of the pets.

"Look at him! He's so cute, right?! And, oh no! His leg is hurt... can we help him?" She said excitedly.

You facepalmed and sighed. "Okay, fine. We can help him. That's it. Then we're sending him to the shelter. Okay?"
She nodded sadly

"Oh, and I was thinking on naming him-"

"No. If you name him, you'll get attached."

"Awh... cmon Y/N, you're such a party pooperrrrr..."

"No naming. Besides, we already have at least 20 pets, we don't need any more." You reasoned.

"But one puppy won't change much!" She argued.

"Look, I think the puppy is very cute as well, but have you thought about the other dogs? And our cats?"

"Ah." She kinda stared as she had a moment of realization. "Actually. That makes sense..."

"See? Now, let's get this puppy to the vet, then we'll go from there, okay?"

Hu Tao nodded and kissed your cheek. "Okaaaay... I love you!"

You both walked out of the vet's office, Hu Tao humming happily and holding the puppy.

"Alright... I'll admit, the puppy is growing on me." You sighed.

Your girlfriend's eyes seemed to light up. "DOES THAT MEAN WE CAN-"

"No, that does not mean we can keep him." You said sternly. "Not when we have millions of other pets to take care of."

"Awh man..." She pouted. You pat her head, sort of as a way to say "sorry" or "it'll be fine".
Once you both got back to your home, Hu Tao brought out a bunch of dog toys. She gestured over to the puppy, holding one of the ball toys out to you.

"Come play with us Y/N!"

"But I have to-"

"No no no! No! Just come play, you should relaax once in a while."
You sighed in defeat, knowing you probably would have to play either way.
You grabbed the ball and rolled it toward the puppy. He grabbed it and started to roll it around, occasionally tripping.
