OK SO FUN FACT: WATTPAD WOULD'NT LET ME UPLOAD THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF THIS CHAPTER BECAUSE I ACCIDENTALLY INSERTED THE POOP MEMOJI AND WATTPAD SAID IT WAS INAPPROPRIATE SO IT WOULDN'T LET ME UPLOAD IT AND I HAD TO DELETE IT AND NOW I HAVE TO REWRITE IT I HATE EVERYTHING.
i'm not crying, just about 5+ nights of work gone :')
"Y/NNNNNN.... hurry up and come to bed..." Hu Tao whined, rolling around in the bed.
"I'm coming, I'm coming." You sighed, finishing up brushing your teeth.
Having Hu Tao around was... interesting, to say the least. You've had many interesting experiences with her, such as that one time a ghost entered your house and moved every piece of furniture over a few inches. Yeah. It was a petty ghost. And guess who's fault that was? You guessed it, Hu Tao's. You love her, but you really, really wish she would stop pissing off ghosts. You don't even know how she does it, it just happens.
"Alright, I'm here. Can you stop rolling in the bed please?"
"Okay, fine.." She pulled the covers up and slid under, patting a spot next to her. "Come sit!"
You gladly obliged, getting into bed next to her, facing her. She booped your nose.
"Y/N, you're so cute~!" Hu Tao giggled.
"Nah, you're cuter." You replied, patting her head gently.
"Aiya, you flatter me so much."
You yawned. "I'm tired, let's sleep."
"Ookay, but nighttime is when ghosts are most active. Ooh, spooooky!"
"You're funny. Goodnight, love." You turned over and pulled the covers over yourself.
"Night night." She whispered.
With that, you both closed your eyes, and drifted off to sleep.
[3AM]
You had suddenly woken up. You were shaking, and tears fell from your eyes nonstop. Looking around, you noticed Hu Tao, still sleeping. Well, at least she's still here. Quietly, you slid out of bed. Maybe some water would calm you down.
What you didn't know, however, is that you had awoken your ghost loving girlfriend with your tears. She slid out of bed, and followed you to the kitchen quietly. You turned on the sink and grabbed a glass, filling it with sink water.
"Y/N? Are... are you alright?" She whispered quietly from behind you, making you jump. "Ah, sorry for scaring you."
"I-It's alright." You mumbled, tears still flowing.
"What's wrong Y/N, love?" Hu Tao said, coming over to hold your hands.
At this point, you just broke down, hugging her tightly and crying your eyes out.
"Shhh, it's okay darling.. i'm here... i'm here..." She comforted. "Let's go back to the bedroom, okay? We can talk about it there." She felt you nod, and took that as an opportunity to pick you up bridal style.
"W-What are you doing?" You questioned through your tears.
"Picking you up, silly! Did'ja really think I was going to make my beautiful, cute, and amazing girlfriend walk while she's crying?" You blushed intensely at her words and questioned no more, nuzzling into her shoulder.
Once you made it to the bedroom, she gently laid you down on the bed and pet your head softly.
"I'll be right back!" Hu Tao said and rushed off somewhere. You just nodded and looked around anxiously, still shaking.
She returned with some crackers and a glass of water.
"What's t-that for?" You questioned.
She shrugged. "I thought you might want a snack. I mean, if you don't want it, I'll eat it!"
"N-No, I'll eat some." You took the crackers from her and ate one.
It was silent for about 5 minutes, however despite that, you two enjoyed each other's company.
"Sooo... ready to tell me what happened?" Your girlfriend broke the silence.
She scooted closer to you so she could hold your hand.
"...I-I had a nightmare.." You explained as the brown haired girl nodded, wanting you to tell her more.
"What happened in this nightmare, hmm?"
"W-Well.. you told me y-you hated me and never wanted to see me again.. a-and then you broke up w-with me.." She gasped as you looked away, still crying. "A-And a lot more terrifying s-stuff happened, but I... I don't want t-to repeat it..."
"Aiya, come here Y/N." Hu Tao opened her arms to give you a hug. Leaning into the hug, you sobbed into her shoulder. "Listen to me, okay? I love you so much! I would never, ever hate you, nor would I leave you! So don't ever think otherwise. I love you! I'm right here, and I'm never going to be anywhere but here. After all, we'll be together til death do us part. And even when it does, we'll be together in the afterlife, right darling? So just calm down, and let's sleep, m'kaaaaay?"
You were silent for a moment. Hu Tao softly rubbed your back and whispered quiet "i love you"s in your ear, awaiting your response. Finally, you lifted your head up from her shoulder and looked at her.
"Y/N?-" You interrupted whatever she was going to ask with a kiss. It lasted for 3 minutes, her lips were soft and gentle, and tasted slightly like red velvet. It was oddly comforting, in a sense. She pulled away first and gently kissed your forhead.
"I love you, Hu Tao."
"I love you too, and I always will, darling~! Now let's get some sleep, okie dokie?" She smiled.
"Mhm..." Blushing, you laid down and pulled the covers over yourself, the brown haired girl following. She wrapped her arms around you and rested her chin on your head, cuddling you tightly.
"Goodnight, love..." She whispered into your ear quietly, and with that, you drifted off to sleep.
Hu Tao didn't come home and i'm heartbroken :')
