Taylor watched as her professor stepped around the large wooden threshold that once separated them, now face to face with her professor - or as face to face as they could get given their height difference. And as her head tilted up to listen to his words, she saw how intently he was staring into her eyes, and for what felt like a long time she couldn't pull her eyes away from his.

When Mr. Drakes hand rested on her shoulder the air suddenly felt very tense around them, something about it feeling much more intimate than it's intended purpose. The only sound coming from their soft breathing, and the soft whiz of the air conditioning unit above their heads. It was clear this area was very well sound proofed, used to help aid a more comforting and quiet environment for teachers to grade students papers. After a slight pause of silence between them, Taylor's voice finally starts to work.

"Thank you.. Mr. Drake"

Her eyes momentarily broke contact with his, looking down as she begins to think genuinely about working harder at her studies.

"I haven't been taking any notes this semester though... I don't even know where to start, or even begin knowing how I'm going to study for the midterm test.."

Her voice ended with a soft sigh, knowing very well she doesn't have any friends to share their notes with.
