WARNING: There is a sexual scene in this chapter. But you will be warned again when the scene starts.

Allen

I was in my art class with Noelle as she was freaking out. You'd think she'd be mad about me even having a crush on her brother, you'd think breaking a rule to spend the night with him would piss her off. But here she is, excited cuz she believes I have a chance with her brother... I mean, considering I'm dating him, I guess I do but still... I have to act like I don't.

"James seriously broke a rule for you," she whisper-shouted. Thankfully she understood that not everyone in Oklahoma was accepting of gays. I mean, gay marriage wasn't even legal at the time! "You know what this means, right?"

I rolled my eyes. "It means he's my best friend that's willing to help my dumbass with my homework."

I began to laugh but stopped when I began to feel Noelle's frustration. "What about the clothes on the floor?"

I shook my head, starting to shade my art project. "My clothes were greasy from work, James didn't want car fluids on his bed."

Noelle scrunched her nose and shuddered. "Don't use the word fluids. It sounds so gross."

I laughed again. "That's what they're called though. What else am I supposed to call it?"

"I don't know! Anything but that."

I rolled my eyes and went back to focusing on my project. "Whatever." She elbowed me before letting out a small chuckle. I heard someone behind me clear their throat before feeling a hand on my shoulder. I turned around to see a small girl with long blonde hair and bright green eyes. Noelle noticed and turned her attention to the girl. I smiled before speaking. "Hello!"

Her face slowly became bright red and she looked behind her to a group of girls, silently cheering her on. I raised a brow, confused. She put out a hand and spoke with a small voice. "H-hi. I'm Stacy."

I shook her hand, still smiling. "I'm Allen. This is my friend, Noelle."

Noelle smiled and waved silently.

Stacy ran her fingers through her hair, obviously nervous. "So, uhm, I was wondering... Are you seeing anybody?" She shook her head. "I mean... Are you single?"

I felt my face heat up and my body froze. What do I say? If I say yes, people will start asking questions that James isn't ready for! If I say no, she might ask me out and if I say no people will start being suspicious of me! I was known as the guy who dates a new girl every few months. But now...

"U-uhm... Y-yeah. I'm single."

Stacy clapped her hands together, a big smile on her face. "Well then, I was wondering if you'd maybe like to go on a date with me?"

I rubbed the back of my neck, looking away. "I'm actually... Interested in someone else at the moment. I'm sorry. You really do seem like a nice girl."

She slouched. "Oh... O-okay." She glared at Noelle before walking off.

We both turned back to our projects and Noelle elbowed me. "I'm proud of you."

I scrunched my nose. "What do you mean?"

"You usually date any girl that's interested in you just to make James jealous. I'm glad you're past that."

I smiled and let out a small laugh. "Thanks, I guess."

James

Henry and I were on our way to lunch when I felt a tug from behind. I turned around to see Jake, his eyes focused on his feet. Henry groaned "Seriously, dude. What the hell do you want?"
