I opened my eyes and groaned. My body was so used to getting up early that I very rarely got to sleep in. Before I could stretch, I realized that Allen had an arm and leg wrapped around me. He was almost on top of me and it was comforting. I decided to lean on him and close my eyes. I love the feeling of his body against mine. I felt his lips on my forehead, making me jump.
"You scared me," I whispered.
He chuckled. "Everything scares you."
I huffed. "Not true."
I could feel him roll his eyes. "Whatever. Just let me kiss you."
"You just did."
"I meant on the lips, dork." I looked up at him as he rolled on top of me. "I've been wanting to kiss you for so long."
"Then kiss me." He smiled and softly pressed his lips against mine, making me smile. After we pulled away, Allen decided to lay on top of me. We rested together in silence, causing me to become drowsy.
"Is there a limit on how many times I can tell you that I love you per day? I feel like I'm gonna do it a lot."
"I don't think so," I mumbled. "Just not in front of others."
"Well, yeah." He shook me awake. "You're really just going to fall asleep on me."
"Technically, you are on me."
He chuckled. "Was that you making a joke or you blaming me for sleeping?"
"Yes." I wrapped my arms around him. "Let me sleep."
He sighed. "Fine. Only because I love laying with you."
I mumbled something I don't even remember before falling back asleep. It was the best sleep I think I've ever had. I usually don't sleep in, but I was finally able to. Every once in a while, I'd hear Allen's voice but I couldn't tell what he was saying. I still nodded in agreement each time I thought I heard his voice.
Soon enough, I woke up to an empty bed. I huffed and slowly rolled out of bed, slowly making my way out of the room. Allen was sitting in the kitchen counter, eating a waffle.
"Where's your mom?"
"Work, again."
I nodded and walked up to him. I was still incredibly tired, but I also felt well rested.
Allen chuckled. "I'm guessing you slept well."
I nodded. "Laying with you really helped, I guess."
"I'm glad I could help. You want me to make you a waffle?"
I scrunched my nose and shook my head. "You'll burn it."
"Oh, come on! It just goes in the toaster! It's not rocket science!"
"Says the guy who once cooked a waffle using the microwave." I smirked at his reaction.
"That was one time!"
I laughed as I opened the freezer, grabbing a waffle and putting it in the toaster. "I feel like when you're living on your own, you'll have a lot of take out. Or a burned down house."
He shrugged and took another bite. "Or maybe you can live with me. You can cook and I'll do literally everything else."
I scoffed. "You're so weird."
"It's not a bad idea!"
"You'll have to learn to cook sooner or later."
"How can I learn when you won't even let me touch the toaster?"
