Trigger Warning: Bullying, homophobia (the word fag)

James

I jumped to the sound of Allen's alarm, causing him to chuckle. He hit snooze before pulling me closer, I smiled and buried my face in his chest. He placed a kiss on the top of my head before I fell back asleep.

Allen's alarm went off again and he held me tightly before I got the chance to jump. "It's just an alarm, babe."

I rolled my eyes as he rolled on his back, turning off his alarm. I rolled on top of him and he gave me a smile. "No nicknames."

He groaned. "Fine." He paused and smirked. "Whatever you say, lover."

I felt my face heat up and I groaned. "You're awful."

He wrapped his arms around my waist. "Whatever."

I smiled and pressed my lips against his. I swore time froze as I held his face in my hands, deepening the kiss. We finally had to pull away to catch our breath, both of us had a dumb smile on our face.

"I love you James."

"I love you Allen." I rolled off of Allen and off of the bed. "Gotta get ready for school."

Allen sighed and sat up before slipping off his shirt, which was my cue to leave the room.

After a few minutes, both of us had left the house and were in his truck, on our way to the school. I took a deep breath, a bit anxious about it being the first day in the real world with a secret relationship. We haven't even talked to Noelle or Henry. What if they find out? What if our parents find out?

Allen placed a hand on my thigh and I put my hand on top of his. "Don't freak out. Everything will be fine." Our fingers intertwined. "I promise."

I smiled and squeezed his hand. "Thank you."

We pulled into the parking lot and both took a deep breath. "We got this."

I gave him a small smile and nodded before we exited the vehicle. As we got to the doors of the building, I heard Noelle's voice.

"James! Allen!" We turned to see her and Henry running towards us. "Wait!" They stopped in front of us and Henry placed a hand on my shoulder, catching his breath.

Allen began to laugh. "You guys okay?"

They both continued to catch their breath as we all walked into the school. Henry spoke. "These legs weren't built for running."

Allen and I laughed. "Pretty sure that's exactly what they're for."

I continued to laugh, even after Henry gave us both a dirty look. "Oh, shut up," Noelle spoke. "Running is for losers."

I snorted. "Whatever you say."

Noelle grabbed Allen's shoulder and began to have a separate conversation as they began to walk in front of me and Henry. Whatever they were talking about made Allen smile and just seeing him smile made me smile.

"You seem to be in a good mood," Henry commented, elbowing me.

I smiled shyly and shrugged. "I think sleeping really helped me."

Henry chuckled. "Is that all you did over the weekend?"

I shrugged again. "Basically. What did you do?"

He laughed. "I slept." I rolled my eyes. "Hey, the first two days of school were exhausting."

I laughed. "Definitely. I'm not ready for a full week of school though."
