Chapter 33

Veronica was tucked under Johnny's arm, the two making up for the weeks of missed contact. Sue was on Reed's as they walked through the streets.

"So I guess this is it, huh? We all go our separate ways," Ben said.

"No," Reed answered, surprising everyone.

"No?" Veronica questioned before Ben could.

"No," Sue confirmed.

"If it wasn't for the team the whole world would be gone by now," Reed pointed out.

"We can't run away from our responsibilities and the people we need to protect. This is who we are," Sue continued.

"That's what I've been saying!" Johnny exclaimed.

"What about having a normal life, a family? Ben asked.

"Who says you have to be normal to have a family?" Reed smirked and Sue pulled him forward.

"You up for another media circus wedding? Fifth time's a charm," Sue had asked and Veronica turned to Johnny.

"When we get back to the States, you and me, we're going to Vegas. No media, no fancy wedding. Just you, me and those three and Alicia as we tie the knot."

A wave of relief passed through Johnny, so glad he wouldn't have to go through the fiasco that Reed and Sue did.

"I love you so much right now," he exclaimed as he kissed her, interrupted by Ben who asked,

"Whoa, wait! You two are getting married?! Since when?"

"Oh about 10 minutes and 53 seconds ago," Johnny answered, the fact that he knew exactly when somewhat endearing to his now fiancée.

"Who's getting married?" Reed asked as he turned around.

"I'M GETTING MARRIED!" Johnny yelled to the world as he raised his arm into the air.

"Not anymore you're not," Veronica joked as she held the ear that had been right next to Johnny when he screamed and then she was hugged by Sue.

"Congratulations," she smiled as Reed hugged Johnny and then Veronica was swept off her feet by Ben as he hugged her.

"So, should we start planning your next wedding?" Veronica asked Reed and Sue as Johnny held her.

The couple just smiled as Reed said, "Well actually...."
