disney's dinosaur rewrite

chapter 2; madagascar

the egg begins to hatch as the mammals watch out of the egg a baby Troodon emerges.

we see Yar the leader of the Purgatoris Yar, walk up to the baby animal. He has a large scar going down from his eye.

random purga: " what is it? "

yar:" a dinosaur. "

suddenly yars adult daughter Plio walks in. 

plio: " stop dad  you cant kill a baby for something it hasnt done "

yar: " hasnt done YET "

plio; " do you think saheli would want this? "

yars eyes widen and he stops dead in his track. He turns around and looks at his daughter.

plio; " dad im sorry "

yar; " its alright plio just please dont speak about your mother like that "

he picks up the baby and raises him above the tree floor preparing to drop him. The young troodon smiles at him unsure of whats going on yar cant bring himself to kill the young one and places him down.

zini ( plio's younger brother ): " can we keep him dad? "

yar: " sure you can but just remember he may look cute now but one day he will grown up into a flesh-eating monster "

we then cut to years later and see the zini all grown up running from an adult troodon with the other purgas. The troodons calls are the raptors from the jurassic franchise the predator chases the mammals through the madagascar jungle. 

the mammals run away from the predator which is biting the air as it calls and they hide behind a log. The dinosaur sniffs around looking for them but then walks away. The mammal crawls out of the log revealing itself.

troodon; " Caw Caw ( cough ) dear god its realy caught in my throat "

zini; " dont worry aladar it makes you sound extra scary "

aladar; " thanks zini "

we see zini and the other mammals hop onto aladars back we see yar grumily looking down on them.

aladar; " oh my god "

zini; " what is it? "

aladar; " look its a ring tailed skink "

zini; " oh "

aladar; " oh my god i thought these things were extinct after the poisonous ferns fiasco but look at her she is so healthy! "

zini; " dad aladars geting excited about the lizard again! "

aladar; " i havent seen this lizard since i was little. "

aladar looks to zini and see's he is unintrested.

aladar; " im sorry bro i know your not intrested i shouldnt waste your time with silly lizards "

zini; " what? come on man even if im not intrested i love seeing you being passionate "

aladar; " you mean it? "

zini; " of course i do "

aladar; " thanks bro "

we see the dinosaur and the mammal walking through the forest. We fade to the forest at sunset.

we then cut back and forth between the male and female mammals preparing for the courtship. 

( the males )

Yar; " ok boys gather round listen and learn from the expert "

( the females )

Plio; " dont go into the trees after you see the first boy with a cute backflip its more fun to keep them geussing "

( the males )

Yar; " and if the cute backflip doesnt work. Geuss! "

( the females )

Plio; " your never going to forget this day so make it one to remember"

( the males )

Yar; " but if you mess up dont worry they will never remember "

we then see with the male they all go onto aladars back and he escorts them to the tree they all jump off and the courtship begins. We see all the males manage to get a mate with the exception of zini who despite bringing a flower is unable to attract a mate. We see all the others go off into the thicker parts of the tree to mate except zini who goes down to aladar yar and plio.

yar; " well only one bachelor left in the tribe "

plio; " ( indicating to aladar ) two bachelors dad "

yar; " right right "

aladar looks sadly over the horizon.

aladar; " mom im different arent i? im not a mammal "

plio seems taken aback by this but responds.

plio; " yes your not a mammal but you are my son "

yar; " aladar when did you figure it out? "

aladar; " somehow i have always known deep down. i just didnt want to say "

we see aladar wander off he starts calliing in the woods. Another call exactly like his responds in the distance. He calls again and it replies he rushes through the jungle calling to get closer now its getting realy loud. He runs into a cave and continues to call it responds and he looks around for where the other troodon can be before spotting ones silhouette on the wall. He runs to it and touches the silhouettes hand only to discover its just his own shadow. He calls again 3 times taking a 5 second break after the second one. He realizes its his own echo. He looks at his reflection and gets angry seeing its not that of a mammal and slams his footdown on it splashing himself. He wanders off crying near the foot of a tree. Meanwhile a loud bang is heard aladar and his family step out to investigate and see some asteroids flying in from the sky. One large asteroid slams into the ground and causes a huge explosion.

 Resulting in a wave of fire to shoot towards them

a wave of fire aproaches the land the mammals get on aladars back and they run away from the fire. He leaps over logs and dogdes a low flying pteranadon. Before having his path of escaped blocked by a fire he runs the other direction dogding a falling tree and lands onto a tree floating around in the ocean. 

yar; " their all gone. "
