chapter 11; a hole in the wall

the dinosaurs walk around the cave.

aladar; " is evreyone doing ok? "

naelyn; " he died. He died! "

eema; " naelyn i have to be honest. I just want you to know death is a natural part of life, ok? One day evreyone in this room is going to die sooner or later. "

neera; " probably sooner given the situation "

eema; " the point is death is nothing to fear. Even if their is nothing after life it is better then never ending life with no rest at the end. I for one will try and greet death like an old friend "

naelyn; " i supose you have a point. But i would like to die not in a cave "

meanwhile we see yar climbing a rocky cliff and seeing plio and zini clinging onto a branch. As the storm threatens to throw them off meanwhile a group of ravenous ornithocheirus come to snap at them.

yar; " plio zini! "

one of the pterosaur flies towards him and snaps his beak. He runs to the cliff and starts to climb down. Trying to grab his family.

zini; " oh thank god. Help "

plio; " yar im sorry i shouldnt have blamed you for moms death "

yar; " im not the one who you need to apologize to "

plio; " his kind killed saheli yar? how could you forgive him? "

yar; " because someone wise once told me; you cant blame something for what it hasnt done. And do you think this is what saheli wanted? "

the mother and son mammal realize this

zini; " i always knew you had a soft spot for him deep down "

yar helps them up one of the ornithos flies towards them and they run before another ornithocheirus attacks the pursueing predator as the two get in a fight.

meanwhile the gang arives at an exit blocked up by stones.

eema; " well evreyone pick the position you want to die in. Make it a good one "

aladar slams against the stones but it doesnt fall. He walks away from it.

neera; " we cant let some stones stop us. We fought gigantoraptors,storms,hunger,thirst and tyranosaurs. Is this how it ends? "

naelyn; " im with her. Their has to be a way out. "

the two start slamming against the wall. Until the young saurapod rips a rock in the wall off. Light pours out, She sticks her head out and see's the nesting ground.

naelyn; " guys the nesting ground! its on the other side "

she and neera start pulling down the wall. Aladar comes to help and eventualy earl digs at the wall as well.

eema; " dont get my hope up like that. ( looks at all the spots of light pouring in ) oh who am i kidding "

eema starts helping to until eventualy the wall collapses . The dinosaurs walk out to the nesting ground. Covered in water and greenery with more tree's than you can count.

eema rushes to the nesting ground and jumps into the water bathing. Earl eats some bushes has naelyn brings down a small tree. And eats from it. However after shaking off in the water and eating grass eema looks up at the valley and looks concerned.

aladar; " something wrong eema? "

eema; " see that entrance? the one blocked by stones? thats where the main herd is suposed to be coming in they dont know about are entrance so their going to be stuck for a long time. Thats if kron doesnt try anything stupid "

neera; " all he knows is how to do things stupidly. It was fine when he was just leading us to bruttons directions but left to his own devices with no directions he could kill all of them in a freak accident. Aladar we need to stop him "

aladar nods and runs away with neera to the herds safety.
