Ohh, snap. Those dreamy green eyes, dusty blonde hair and muscly build is enough to make anyone fall in love with Kyron Baristek. Maybe I'm not bisexual after all. I don't think I like Brooke.

We've just arrived in New Zealand. KB and Myliey introduce us into our new home. And these two are our new roommates!  The beach house has an extraordinary view of the sea and is extremely modern and fresh. I've never been in a place as upper-class as this.

I look around and I can't believe I'm finally here. Lisha comes with us to the island, helps to show us around and then gets back on the tour boat to go into the mainland- where the Berkley's headquarters is. Berkley's and Crofley's are basically the same crime academy; they do the same work and have the same workers. It's just that here in New Zealand, (woah, that sounds weird to say) they have Berkley's rather than Crofley's. Lisha leaves and it's just the 4 of us. 4, naive 15-year-olds. Is this even legal? How do they trust us in here? Kyron looks quite sad that there are no boys here, but he looks incredibly interested in me. As soon as Brooke and I walked through the huge, modern doors, KB and I started at each other for a second. I do think he is exceptionally attractive. I never thought love at first sight was a real thing, but after seeing KB, I'm second-guessing that.

Brooke and I walk around different rooms for nearly an hour, just getting to know the place. We're extremely jet-lagged, so despite sleeping for about 4 hours on the plane, we're both exhausted and decide to go to sleep in our new bedrooms. We all have our own, and KB showed us to them. I can't help but stare into his greenish-blueish eyes and fall in love with them. I once heard: 'Always fall in love with someone's eyes; their hair will change, their face will change, everything else will change, but yet their eyes will always stay the same.' I'm a bit of an inspirational quotes guru, to be honest. That quote made me realise that despite never having a boyfriend, I loved Kyron. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't just his eyes I fancied, but as that quote says, one's eyes will never change.

The next day comes around and Brooke and I feel a lot better. We're ready to spend our first full day in New Zealand and to get to know this place. This is our new home, after all. Kyron and Myliey seem like great tour guides so far, as well as being extremely handsome and quite pretty. Myliey seems so nice. Almost too nice.

On our first day, we're just getting used to the island, and we're not doing any crime work for the first week. We're starting next week at Berkeley's and I'm very excited. Myliey and Kyron are upstairs planning what we're gonna do today. Brooke and I are sat on the sofa. She budges up towards me, leans over to me and whispers in my ear, "Ash, is it just me or do you think Myliey is really pretty?"

Excuse me, what?

Yeah, I'll admit it. I think Myliey is quite pretty but with Brooke being bi, that 'pretty' could mean anything. I'm straight and I've made a final decision on that, so I don't find her attractive. I think that New Zealanders are generally attractive anyway. It's Brooke's personal preference but I just see Myliey as a little...weird. It's just something about her that I don't like. Okay, maybe that's a little harsh. There's something I'm not understanding, maybe. As I said before, I think that Myliey is just trying to be too nice. I'd hate it if I was bisexual. I have nothing against it, don't get me wrong, but if you like a girl, chances are she's straight and she isn't gonna like you back. Saying that though, I did used to think that I liked Brooke, but I just think me and her are a huge no. I can't get it out of my head what she said to me a few months ago. She told me she likes me. I'm not sure if she still does but if she is still in love with me, I find it a little weird that my best friend wants her and I to be lovers. I'm not even sure if I should be friends with Brooke anymore. She is a bit annoying. Well, very. I think we should just give each other space because I don't like her anymore, at all. How are we going to give each other space though, when we live in the same house?

Maybe that's what just friends are like, Ash. You've never had a proper friend before and Brooke really does seem like a true friend. She is really kind and helpful, and if you decide not to be friends with her, it's your own loss. Brooklyn's a lovely girl and you've just moved to the other side of the world to live with her and to have the same career. You've come so far, mentally and physically, so don't let yourself down now, Ash. Please don't let go of Brooke. I know it's hard but you need to accept the fact that she likes you, and if she finds girls (like Myliey) attractive, then so be it! Let her do what she likes.

KB and Myliey come downstairs and they tell us what we're going to be doing today. They say we're going on a tour around the island in our canoe, which has 5 seats. There's only 4 of us so the fifth seat is pretty useless, for now. KB told Brooke and I that in a couple of weeks we'll be getting a speed boat! How cool is that! We'll all have to get a license for it though. You don't need a license for a canoe. We travel around the island and then Brooke asks Myliey if there are any sharks. What? Myiley says there are quite a few round here.

I freeze. Wha- what? Sharks?
"Girls, haha!" Myliey says excitedly with a broad New Zealand accent, "There's no need to be worried, I've never seen a shark myself and they really aren't too dange-"
"AHHH SHARKKK SHARKK!" Kyron shouts out from the front of the canoe. He's paddling it around the island and he says that he can see a shark. He breaks quickly and tries to get to shore, like he's just seen one, and the whole canoe nearly goes overboard.

"WAIT WHAT???" Myliey exclaims out. Brooklyn and I are terrified. We want to jump out the boat and swim away but Myliey tells us to stay where we are. We put our arms over our heads, almost like a brace position, and scrunch our eyes tight. I honestly think we're gonna die. Hang on, isn't it a bit of a coincidence that Brooke and Myliey were just talking about sharks and now suddenly KB spots one? I get a little suspicious of Kyron and then suddenly he blurts out,
"Only joking! Haha, got you three!"
I'm a bit annoyed with him, but he is an incredibly attractive boy and that was quite funny. Also, that was a bit of detective work from you there, Ash, so well done. If his sense of humour is anything like the joke he's just pulled off, then him and I are going to get along really well in this house. I'm in love with him already and I've only known him a day. Myliey starts shouting at him and Brooke becomes quite mad too. I thought it was quite funny, to be honest, but those two definitely didn't. Our tour is over so we turn around and go back as it's starting to get dark. Kyron leads us up about three or four flights of stairs and takes us to the balcony. Woah. This place has a balcony? This place does have a balcony! The four of us sit around a little table with a little heater. It's New Zealand's summer but it's still a little chilly during the night. We tell stories, mess about and just get to know each other. Brooke seems really interested in Myliey and the two speak a lot. KB seems surprisingly interested in me, as I said he did when we first met, so we talk for a while too. I think I've just realised that I'm in love with Kyron, but I don't know how he feels about me. There's just no judging anyone nowadays, I never would have thought that Brooke was bi, so Kyron could be bi, or even gay. That leaves me with no chance with him.

I have an idea.

I start talking to him about his type- what type of girls he is into. He starts to tell me and he doesn't mention anything about boys, so I'm starting to think that he's straight. He asks me my type and I tell him (I basically start to describe him-that was unintentional- he's just really attractive). He tells me who he likes; girls with a lovely peach tone, but he doesn't mind girls with a bit of a tan, he loves any colour eyes and he loves black hair the most (ooh- I have black hair). I tell him my quote when he says that, and he says that he totally agrees with the quote. Oh my god! I told you the pair of us would definitely get along. I look over to Myliey and Brooke and they seem like they're getting into really deep conversation. I look into Brooke's eyes as she talks to her, and I know my best friend very well. I could tell that she loves Myliey. Her face is lighting up and she pulls a cheeky smile, all whilst looking deep into Mylieys beautiful brown eyes. Not once does Brooke turn her head to look at me; I'm happy for her.
"Ash, you okay?" Kyron notices me staring at Brooke.
"I'm fine," I whisper, "I can just tell that Brooke is falling in love."
"Ooh, really?"
"Yup, I think. She looks extremely happy."
I'm so happy that my best friend is in love, well, so I think. Whatever she is, she looks happy and that makes me happy.
I look back at Kyron and smile. He smiles back and says,
"And I think I'm falling in love too."

Ash x
