Sally stood there in courtroom looking down at the floor with her knees wobbling in discomfort. She wasn't ready to accept her planned execution - not at all. But something had changed since she had been detained by the Police. She convinced herself she'd stay alive. Seeing people die on the daily was just party of the job as an opposing party, but Sally's life was being handed to people who weren't there when the murder happened. Sally slowly looked up and turned around on her left to see a panel of civilians who were the jury. They all glared at Sally - examining her.

In a rush of embarrassment she turned away from the jury. On her right were members of the Blue Party, particularly John Bates, who had a sour expression on his face. Sally never understood John Bates - he appeared to be a confident yet confused man. He seemed quite aggravated though in the courtroom- more so than Sally herself. John kept moving in his seat, clicking his hands and holding his hand on his face. Hannah, sitting right next to John, was calm and collected. There was no telling how she felt about everything. It was clear the emotion was drained from Hannah's face.

"All rise." A voice cried.

The whole room stood up in orderly fashion.

"Sally James has been  accused with the murder of President Matthew Knight at around 11pm on Friday 28th July. May the prosecution stand."

The prosecutor stood up facing Sally.

"Where were you at 11pm on that Friday night?"

Sally shrugged, "I was in the Debate House with my party."

The prosecutor continued, "So why did one of your own party members say in their statement that you left the celebration dinner early?"

Oh no. This is all Mimi's fault. She didn't need to say everything.

"Well....", after a few seconds Sally began, "I only left for a few minutes to go to the toilet that's all."

"Did you return?", The prosecutor enquired.

The instant memory of her leaving the main part of the Debate House that very night replayed in her head. The shouting, the kicking, the screaming. The pleading to stay alive. If she hadn't left earlier no one this would have happened. Sally wouldn't be standing against the jury.

"I already asked," the prosecutor continued.  "Did you return after you left?"

Sally cleared her throat, "No."

"So it's safe to say you left the dinner some time before President Knight was announced dead."

"Yes."

"The post-mortem exam has showed Knight died of an impact to his brain. However, the chemical concentration of his stomach is said to be caused by the dangerous amounts of sodium chloride."

"And? Sodium chloride is bloody salt."

The prosecutor tutted. "Of course it's salt. But it was found it dangerous amounts. And we also know you left  a jar of salt. Didn't you say you didn't add it into Knight's dinner?"

Sally's focused her attention on the floor. What's the point in fighting if they were going to kill her anyway? It was time for her to be honest.

"Yes. Yes I added it." She announced. Her life was officially over.

"Your dishonesty has cost you your life. I've just proved you murdered Mr Knight. No further questions asked."

Bang.

Someone was banging the door with immense pressure and the weak door was almost unable to supported the large mass pushing against the hinges.

"Security, please find out what the disruption is. Jury, leave. Confer with each other with the verdict."

The security started to open the door before the 6 feet wide door fell on top of him. Sally recognised the group of people at the end of the now broken door.

"Jury stop! Sally didn't kill Knight. I've got a video recording," Winston waved a small camera in his hand.

Mimi and Riya sprinted towards the Blue Party members. John jumped at the sight of the two women now circling his seat.

"Jury. Please come back. Whoever you are, take it away."

Winston sighed in relief, "That day Knight stormed out of the dinner area looking really angry. He was with John and Hannah over there," he pointed, "I didn't see what happened after that but John's cameras are everywhere."

John grunted, "This is why I can't trust you."

The jury members looked at each other in confusion. "How about I connect the camera to the bigger screen over there, so we all can see it?", one of the women asked.

The video started playing with Knight storming out of the dining room screaming. Hannah and John followed Knight before it appeared to be them who Knight was shouting at. The High quality video captured the conversation.

"You stupid little woman. You are not allowed to speak!" Knight screamed.

John could be seen retaliating, "How about you shut up. You've given her enough grief already."

"Looks like I haven't given her enough grief already," Knight then grabbed her arm with immense pressure, "Apologise to me right now."

"No!" Hannah screamed.

The recording also caught a glimpse of Sally peeking inside of the confined area before she closed the door. The same door opened again this time with Winston could be seen watching the whole situation unfold.

"How about you apologise to me now," Knight laughed as he held a weapon to Hannah's head. Hannah whimpered in helplessness and John punched the old man in the face. John wasn't fast enough - Knight tripped John who landed face first on the concrete-like floor.

Just as Knight turned around, in a moment of fight or flight Hannah threw him down the stair case creating a succession of loud thumps. Hannah picked up the gun ready to end the bully's life. Moving the finger on the trigger prepared to shoot. John grabbed the gun off Hannah and she ran down the stairs to where the injured man was, stomping his head multiple times.

John screamed, "He's dead. Dead. Dead."

The video buffered before finally ending with Hannah and John running back inside. Sally cried in relief and the Red Party celebrated. Winston smiled at the camera he was initially looking for. It was him joining the Blue Party as a teenager in hopes of changing the poor's lives for the better and his knowledge of scheming people like John Bates which saved his leader's life.

The prosecutor focused his attention on Hannah. "So you did kill Knight. Why would you kill your leader?"

Hannah spoke in an irritated tone, "He was going  to shoot me! I didn't mean to kill  him. That's why I threw him down the stairs. I didn't think he'd die."

At once the security guard walked towards Hannah. "Hannah, you've been arrested for the murder of President Knight."

"John, help!" She screamed.

John screamed back, "I can't!" He turned to the jury, "You're not going to execute Hannah are you?"

Silence.

"ARE YOU!?" John shouted.
