Amy's POV:

Tears fall down my cheeks as I slowly sit on my knees. I cover my face in shame. How could I have said that to my best friend?! I yell in my head. I'm such a horrible friend! She shouldn't have ever met me! I let stupid jealousy take over! How could I have ever done that?!

I feel the tears roll down my face as I start to sob.

After a few minutes I feel someone's hand get placed on my shoulder gently. I gasp and look up. I see the person I just hurt; Amelia.

I stare up at her with tears in my eyes. I look down and shake my head slightly. "Amelia... I'm sorry."

*It's fine." She says calmly.

My eyes widen in surprise. I look up at her in shock. "What?"

"It's fine, but I need your help." She says, her voice laced with worry.

"What's wrong?" I ask, trying to hide my tears but I'm clearly failing.

"Maria's been taken." She says hurried. "She's with Mike, Josh, and a few other boys. They took her, come on, we'll take  Maria's car, let's go." She takes out the keys. One, how she got Maria's keys? I have no clue, and do I wanna even know? No, why? Because I'm scared for the awnser.

We run to the car as Amelia starts the car, getting in the driver's seat while I go in the passengers.

She drives as fast as she possibly can and we find ourselves following the car.

"Act normal." Amelia says, I nod.

We drive slowly behind them, them not noticing that we're on their tail, Maria looking like she's getting tied in the backseat by Mike.

After a moment, I hear someone scream, and I see Maria fighting in the backseat, her scream muffled, as one of the Mike ties her and they take a sharp left.

I nearly screamed myself as Amelia takes the sharpest turn that made me fall into the side door of the car.

When I look over at Amelia, her face is so full of hate, and determination, that i knew.

"She's your true love." I say, tears in my eyes. "I tried ruining it for you."

Amelia says nothing as she turned a sharp right.

I notice how much that Amelia really cares about Maria and how much I ruined her life. I could've been there for her while she was going through that. But I was with my dad the whole time. I could've been the one holding her hand while she had poison pumped into her. I could've been the one getting her a snack or two here and there when she was hungry. I could've been the one who made her day when she was feeling down. But was I there? Only for her death I was. But here she is, still loving me as the best friend she deserves way more than me.

I let the tears fall as me speed up a little, Amelia right on Josh and the others' tails.

"Oh Amy." Amelia says after awhile.

I hesatently look at her. "Yeah?"

"Don't hurt yourself or break yourself down." She says sternly. "Did I tell you to bring her to prom? Yes. But, never lie to my girlfriend ever again, okay?" Her voice was so calm, so sweet, it made my heart squeeze with guilt.

"Okay." Is all I could manage before the car was abruptly put to a stop. Everything went still, and quiet.

"Duck." Amelia says as she lowers her head. We're in an abandoned parking lot, kinda like the one me and Maria go to for our job.

I duck down besides Amelia. After a moment of silence we hear someone slamming the car door with someone trying to break free of their grasp; Maria.
