       ~one year later~

Amelia's POV:

I wake up feeling warm and comfortable.  I slowly turn and sigh softly and smile.  I see the most beautiful woman laying besides me.  She's still asleep,  but even in her sleep,  she's beautiful.

Her name, you ask?  Well,  her name is Maria, Maria Lee Carson.  I chuckle as she snores cutely in her sleep.  Her mouth opening slightly when she breathes in,  then closing slightly when she breathes out.

I slowly lean in and kiss her.   I close my eyes immediately,  smiling as I kiss her.  I've loved her ever since I met her.  She's the one,  the one I want to live with forever.

"Mmm."  I hear her groan in her sleep as I feel her kiss back.  I slowly pull away while sighing softly and smile at her.  Maria slowly opens her eyes and looks at me and smiles.  "Good morning beautiful." Maria whispers and I chuckle.

"Good morning gorgeous."  I say smiling at her.

"You sleep alright?"  She asks me,  grabbing me by the waist and pulling me close.

I lay my head on her chest and nod.  I wrap my arms around her neck and hold onto her. I've never popped the question to her.  I really want to.  I've just been so neverous to even ask.  Like,  would Maria even want  to marry me?

Maria just rubs my back soothingly and kisses the top of my head softly.  "Ami,  can I ask you something?"

"Anything."  I say without hesation.

"Can me and you hangout today?"

"Don't we do that everyday?"  I say jokingly.

She rolls her eyes playfully.  "Well...we do always hangout  but,  I mean,  um."  I could tell it was hard for her to get the words  out.  "Wanna go in a date with me?"

I smile at her.  "Of course."

I felt Maria's body relax as she holds me tighter

Me and Maria get into the car   Maria  starts the car and we're off.   Anyway,  let's go back a year.  Me and Maria started working together at her job as being a secret agent.  It took me about eight months to just get prepared to be her partner.  But,  finally, I became her partner in the job.  So,  we've been together and we've been helping Mrs. Adair at her office   I also managed to get through collage.  My eyesight did get worse for awhile but then it got better after the final treatments were done. I still bring around my cane just in case.  But,  we just got our house with a few bedrooms that will be for our children eventually.  Owen and Amy got married a few months ago,  and they're like,  the perfect couple.  So,  really  it's like a happy ending.

Well,  maybe.  But me and Maria aren't married or even have our first child yet.  So,  it's not over.  I will never say I lived happily ever after until I've married the woman of my dreams.

The car stops after a moment and I look around.  I've been so in my own little world I didn't even see where we had gone.  We're at a beach,  and a really fancy restaurant.

I gasp as she says.  "We're here."

I look at Maria and whisper.  "How did you even find this place?  This place is beautiful. But,  of course,  this place isn't nearly as beautiful as you."  I say,  placing a kiss on her cheek after we get out of the car.  Maria just laughs slightly.

"Thanks babe."  She smirks at me.  I blush as I hold her hand.

We walk into the restaurant and get settled by a waitress.  She asks us what we want for breakfast and me and Maria get the same thing we always do. I get an omelet with all sorts of breakfast foods like bacon,  sausage,  with vegetables like peppers,  in it.  While Maria on the other hand, gets pancakes with bacon,  eggs,  and sausage with both of us getting orange juice.

The waitress leaves after giving us our food.  I am sitting besides Maria and I lay my head on her shoulder.

"I love you."  I whisper.

"I love you more."  Maria says,  kissing my head softly.  She lays her head on mine and wraps her free arm around me.  We eat our food eating each other food here and there while laughing.

After awhile we went out of the restaurant and changed.  We went onto the beach,  Maria getting us the perfect spot for when it'll be sundown.

I look over mad notice she's unpacking things.

"What are you doing?" I ask,  curious.

"I plan on being here with you."  She replies casually taking out a camping chair.  "So I'm unpacking."

"Okay."  I say going into the water.

.
We play in the water till we see the sun start to hit the water.  Me and Maria get out and sit on a beach towel together.  I lay my head on Maria's shoulder and lean on her,  sighing softly.  "This was amazing." I whisper.

Maria just keeps gazing out at the water.  The stars start coming out still casting a fun glow on the horizon.

After a moment I felt Maria gently push me off.  I look over at her worried.  My smile fades.  "Maria,  what's wrong?"

She stares down at me.  She's standing and starring at me.  Her hair is rippling in the wind while her eyes glint in the sun.  "Amelia."  She says.  "I need to tell you something."

My mouth twitches into a frown.  Did she play this all out to tell me we're breaking up?

"Ever since I met you."  She starts.  "I immediately fell in love with you.  You were so beautiful...sorry,  wrong thing.  No no,  you're still very beautiful."  Her face flushes pink as she stares down at me.  I smile weakly remembering all the times she'd get embarassed by saying the wrong thing in front of me.  She takes a deep breath before continuing.  *What I meant was."  She says after taking the breath.  "Is that I love you.  With all my  heart.  Now I know this isn't the
most romantic thing,  but..."  Maria goes down on one knee,  taking out a beautiful ring that is the ring I've been dreaming of getting from Maria for years.  "Will you marry me?"
