Amelia's POV:

Oh,  the warmth.

"Mmm."  I mumble as I snuggle closer to my love.  I've missed her so much.  Nobody will ever know how happy I am to feel Maria's arms wrapped around me.  Nobody will ever know how it feels to feel Maria's soft lips press against their cheek.  Nobody will ever know  how it feels to have Maria as a girlfriend,  either.

I feel Maria rub my back soothingly as she grabs the edge of a blanket, draping it over my shoulders.  After that,  she holds me closer, laying down with me on top of her.

"I love you."  She whispers,  her head getting gently rested on mine.

Without hesation,  I whisper.  "I love you too,  more than anything in the world."  I smile as I cuddle closer to her.

She  grins weakly while holding me tighter.  I know she loves me just as much as I love her.  I'm so happy that,  even if it's only a day or two,  I get to be with Maria,  at least,  one,  last, time.

I close my eyes,  breathing in and out deeply. I'm so relaxed,  that nothing you could do would make me move.  I'm so content with what I'm doing it's just relaxing.  I can hear Maria's heartbeat slow because she's relaxed too.  I can hear her breathing deep  and calmingly.  After a second,  I hear someone humming.  I open my eyes,  looking around I see Maria humming.  I close my eyes immediately while listening to her humming.  Her voice is so beautiful,  so soft and gentle,  just like her touch when she hugs me, or kisses me.

I don't know when or how,  but slowly,  I drifted into a sleep with nothing more than hearing Maria's distant humming.

A few moments,  I was just in a dark room   listening to Maria's distant humming, getting fainted and fainter,  till, it went into complete silence.

I look around.  I couldn't see anything further than a foot away from me.  My breath starts catching.  This is scary.  I always hated it when I felt like me and whoever I was with at the time were in danger but I wasn't even able to help by seeing what was around.  I look around some more,  but nothing.

"Two.  More.  Days."  A voice whispers.  The whisper echos all across the room,  making it magnified at least to a hundred   it didn't completely fade away till after a moment he said it.

"Who--who is it?"  I call.  My shaky voice echos just the same as the voice's  did,  but mine was less raspy and more fear-filled.

"You should know who I am."  The voice whispers, his voice echoing.  "I've been trying to kill you with everyone else ever since I found out about you."

"And...and who would that be?"  I call.

"Does not matter who I am."  The voice says coldly,  his voice echoing with mine.  What matters is you knowing what I have done!  I will  achieve greatest with that boy Josh helping me!"

"What do you mean?"  I say,  my voice getting stern.

"My dear,  I thought you ought to be smarter than that."   He chids. "Did you really think Josh had enough talent to be able to  have a plan and follow it and be able to do it properly without any mistakes?"

I thought this was so humorous I snorted.  I say almost immediately.  "Do I?  Josh can't even follow simple steps to making macaroni &  cheese on the label to a box let alone being able to do a plan this big."

The voice chuckles.  "You're quite funny, my dear, it's too bad you're not on my side.  If you were on my side,  maybe you'd be able to be with Maria longer."

I froze.  Could i stay longer with Maria?  But if I joined him...would I be able to?

"But."   The voice begins.  "You leave,  then,  well...let me show you what will happen if you do."

Right there,  a  light flickers to my right.  I look over and see mist.  The mist is glowing.  I look closer and notice that it's showing people.  One person's Maria,  with Josh.

I see Maria looks badly hurt,  covered in blood.  Her eyes are fluttering,  as she stares up at josh weakly.  Josh is giving her nothing but the cold glare.  I couldn't hear him   but I could tell what Josh was saying;  "you're a filthy brat!  You deserve to rot deep in the earth with the devil! You should die the most painful death ever!  You left me!  I will never let that happen again!"

Josh takes out a gun,  makes sure it's loaded, points it at Maria,  and shoots.

I scream.  Tears well in my eyes and fall down my face.  That can't happen to Maria.  That just can't!

*Or"  The voice says.  "This could happen,  but only if you join me."

The mist changes,  showing me a picture full of white light.  I see myself in a dress that is all white,  Maria in one too   Maria looks absolutely stunning.  Maria is holding my hand.  I see a ring on both of our ring fingers   and I notice what it is.

"Our wedding day."  I gasp.

"Yes."  The man chuckles.  "If you join me,  you could be able to marry her.  Then,  a few years down the road..."

After a moment,  it changed,  showing me sitting in a chair  in Maria's lap.  Maria's arms are around me and a blue bundle of blankets I'm holding.

In the mist both me and Maria as smiling down at the bundle in my arms.  It's the dream.  Our dream.  Only mine and Maria's dream.

I look down as I fall to my knees.  I bury my face in my hands.  Do I do it?  I think.  If I do,  me and Maria will live happily ever after,  but if I don't,  Maria will get hurt,  and I won't ever be able to see her again.

I look up.  I stare at the picture of me and Maria in that chair  smiling down at that bundle.  "Okay."  I whisper while not taking my eyes off the mist.  "I'll join."
