Amy's POV:

We walk inside.  I'm still holding his hand while he holds mine.  I feel my face burn again when I see the girl at the cash register.  The girl looks at me then down to mine and Owen's hands holding each other's.

"Hello."  She says.

"Hello."  Owen says calmly.

"Table for two?"  The girl asks.  Her name tag says Jenny.  That name sounds familiar.  Her hair is long,  frizzy, and dark red.  Her eyes are a bright green.  She has freckles all around her face,  and pale skin.

I stare at her for a moment as she leads us to a table.  I follow with Owen gently pulling me since I'm frozen.  I know I've seen her before, but where have I seen her?

Jenny casts an eye behind her and looks at me.  That piercing green eye stares at me for a millisecond before turning and leading he rest of the way.

She brings us to a small booth.  I sit down while Owen sits across from me.

Jenny stares at me from above her notepad,  her pen at the ready to write down what we want.  "Today,  I will be your waitress.  While you guys wait for your food to be ordered and be brought to you,  is there anything you'd like to drink?"

I think for a moment.  "Water for me please."

She jots down that on her notepad,  slowly making her gaze rest on Owen.  "And you?"

"Coke."  He says.

She jots that down too.  "Alright,  your drinks should be here soon."  She turns,  walking away, glancing back at me for a moment then looking back.  After a moment,  dissapearing behind the door to the kitchen.

Shockingly,  there was no one there other than another couple,  they looked about in their late twenties.   The girl was giggling as she threw fries into the air and her boyfriend catching them while smiling.  But soon,  they left.  So only me,  Owen,  and the staff at the diner.

Owen looks at me closely.  "Amy,  are you okay?"  His voice is so soft,  I slowly turn my head.  I look at him.  Immediately,  my look went from a stare to a gaze,  straight into his eyes.

I catch my breath before answering.  "Yeah."

I feel something touch my hand.  I slowly glance down and see his hand on mine.  "You sure?"  He asks.

I pause in hesitation at this.  I've known Owen for years now,  is it safe to tell him?

I take a shaky breath as I stare into  his sea green eyes again.  "I think the girl... Jenny,  I know her.  like,  I mean, know know her.  I've seen her before, but I don't know where."  I say quietly.

He nods.  He grabs my other hand,  lacing both of our fingers together in both hands.  "Well,  maybe we can find out by asking her questions."

I nod slightly as I hear footsteps again.  I glance over and see Jenny coming our way.  I quickly let go of Owen's hands while I blush furiously.

I see her in mid step start to force cheerfulness and force a smile as she comes over.  "You know what you'd like to order now?"  She asks cheerfully.

"Um....yes."  I thought for a moment.  I've been here so much that I already have memorized the menu with Amelia.  "Blueberry pancakes, please."  I say.

She nods as she jots that down on her paper.  Not taking her eyes off me,  she says.  "And you  sir?"

"Bacon and eggs."  He says.

She jots it down.  "Mkay,  I'll be out with your food soon."  She left with a turn on he heel,  and stormed away.

Just as she was about to go into the kitchen again,  I lifted my hand in pause.  "Wait!"  I cry.

She stops,  halfway through the doorway.  She turns,  facing me.  I notice that her high heels are covered by her dress she's wearing.  She's barely showing any skin at all.  Usually,  people wear short dresses that at least show their ankle up to about their knees,  but for some reason,  hers is down to the floor.  "Yes?"  She says with a forced smile.

"I know you."  I say.

"No,  no you don't."  She says,  forcing more cheerfulness into her voice.

I stare at her for a moment. *What's your last name?"  I ask.

"McCane."  She says.

Jenny McCane.  I thought in my head   sounds so familiar...

"Now, if you don't mind, sit down unless you're going to the restroom."  With that, she storms into the kitchen,  dissapeairng out of sight.

I sit down slowly,  starring into space,  thinking.

Owen stares at me worried.  He grabs my hand making me flinch slightly.

"Shhhhhhh."  He says soothingly,  making my whole body relax from his soothing voice.  "It's okay,  it's just me."

I nod ever so slightly, averting my eyes from the two birds who were snuggled against each other on a branch outside our window as the icicles dropped droplets of water  perfectly  underneath them.

Should I tell him where I think she's from?  I thought.  Maybe I should...

I took a shaky breath,  looking into Owen's eyes again.  My body tenses when I see his green eyes boring into my brown ones.

"I..." He starts.

Right at that moment,  I look over.  My eyes widen and I stand up.  "Hold on."  I tell Owen.  I quickly run outside to make sure Maria and Amelia are still alright and safe in the car.

Maria is laying in the backseat of the car.  She found a pillow so she laid her head on that.  Amelia is on top of Maria with her head rested gently on Maria's chest.  Maria has her arms wrapped around Amelia tightly and protectivly
as there's a blanket draped over their shoulders to keep them warm.  They look completely fine,  and alright.  I sigh in relife as I walk inside again.

"Sorry." I say quietly to Owen.  "What were you gonna say?"  I sit down across from him again   feeling more relaxed now that I know Maria and Amelia are still safe.

He looks quite red in the face,  like he was blushing while I was gone.  I just stare at him curiously.  "You alright?"  I ask.

"Yeah."  He mumbles.

"What were you gonna tell me though?"  I ask.

"Oh." He starts.  "Um,  nothing,  I forgot what I was gonna say anyway.  He smiles weakly at me but I see his smile fade when I turn.  I could only just barely see it happen out of the corner of my eye.  I knew he is wanting to tell me something, but what?

But,  I didn't really get to think much about it, cause after a moment,  I hear the bell ring for someone coming in.

My eyes widen when I notice it's Mike.

"Mike!"  I  scowl.

He sees me and he takes out his gun.  Just at that moment,  Jenny comes running out pulling out her gun that was hidden under her dress,  strapped to her ankle.  And that's when I knew;  Jenny was a spy  that worked with me and Maria.

"Stay where you are!" Jenny yells at Mike.  Of course,  instead of staying like a good person, he ran.

"Come on Amy!"  Jenny yells to me.  "Drive us to Mike! We need to follow him!"
