Maria's POV:

When I sang the last word,  and played my last note,  Amelia was in tears.

"I----i'm  s-so sorry i-i left all of you."  She starts sobbing.

Dangit,  I didn't mean to make her sad.  I scold myself in my head.

"Oh Amelia,  shhhhhhh."  I gently sat the guitar down and wrap my arms around her.  I start to slowly pull Amelia into my lap while rocking back and fourth gently.   "Shhhhhhhh,  it's okay, it's okay   let's just get some rest, alright?"

She nods slightly as I lay down with Amelia on me,  I keep my arms wrapped around her tightly and protectively while draping the blanket over Amelia's shoulders.  I  rub the side of her arm so she stays warm.   Even though it's only just turned March,  it's still pretty crisp outside.  Plus i just want to keep my girlfriend warm and comforted.

I kiss her softly on the cheek and lay my head on her shoulder/chest.  I'm about to close my eyes when I see something strange.

"Amelia?"  I say out loud quietly.

Amelia didn't answer.

I start to freak out, looking at her face.  "Amelia?!"  I cry.

She doesn't move.  I check her pulse.  She still has one.  I check her breathing,  she's just asleep. T o prove my point she's asleep, she snores softly in her sleep.

I sigh in relife as I stare at the thing I was starring.  It was a light green line going from  where her collar bone is and going down to a spot on the right side of her chest right above the edge of her tank top she's wearing.

I look at Amelia's sleeping  face, then take out my phone,  turning my screen to full brightness instead of my flashlight so I don't wake up Amelia.  I remember her having this line.  It was a survey she had about   two months before she passed.  She had a port,  which was placed on the right side of her chest and it was a plastic, metal  thing that was sewn  to a vein then when you had your chemotherapy,  the chemotherapy would go through the port because the doctor instead of poking Amelia a million times in the arm,  just would put a special needle  in her port.

But it was gone.  I don't ever remember it ever  being green.  This isn't good.  That is a bad sign.  But what do I do?  I can't call the hospital,  they already have a record of Amelia's death,  the cops will probably be no help.  Only my boss would be.  Mrs.  Adair.  I haven't seen her in awhile actually.  Only that last time when we were discussing about josh.

"I'm taking you to my boss."  I whisper to the sleeping Amelia, kissing her softly on the top of her head.  I lay my head on hers,   holding her close.  What if  this sign means she's leaving again.  I stay awake  that night,  my eyes brimming with tears.

Amelia's POV:

I fell asleep in Maria's arms instantly.  I forgot how much I missed her warm embrace.  I've always wanted to just lay in bed with her and cuddle with her for forever.  There could be nothing wrong that could happen

*Flashback when Amelia was changing in the bathroom*

After I was done changing, i noticed something in the mirror that disturbed me;  my port,  it was not only gone, but it also has a thin green line where it was connected to one of my veins.  Why is it like that?  I wonder in my head.  It wasn't like that before.  I just traces my fingers along it and after a moment wince. Why does it hurt so much?  Why is it green?  I was starring at myself in the mirror, a horror-stuck expression starring back at me.  No.  I thought sternly.  No no no.

'oh,  but it is my dear.'  I hear a voice in my head say.

I gulp. No,  this cannot be happening.  I needed to stay with Maria.  I needed to stay with Amy too.  I needed my mother, my father,  and even the old dog.

'you know how much longer you have.'  the voice whispered in my ear.  'you know you only have three days left.'

Years well in my eyes.  No.  I can't.  I kept repeating in my head.  I walked out to Maria and she starts to play the song.  I bursted into tears.  I knew I was forced to leave her soon,  even if I didn't want to.

*Flashback ended*

I'm now still in Maria's arms,  already asleep.  I'm thinking in my dreams.  I'm in a dark room,  with no noise,  other than my shallow breathing.  I can feel myself being held by her.  I can't believe I'll be gone in less than three days.   But, there's gotta be a way for me to be here with Maria and Amy and the others, is there?

I just gasp as I feel myself waking up to being  snuggled up against my girlfriend  that I might lose in three days;  Maria.
