Many eons after the creation of Earth, four deities, including Solara introduced multiple species unto the planet.
Humans:
Created by Solara in Her own image over 200,000 years before Knights I, the human race has made their settlements on virtually every corner of the planet, to the cold regions of Synegath, the kingdom of Snowballia, and the Republic of Grenadyn.
The human race has been one of many species involved with war, stretching as far back as the Azaro Dynasty, more than 200 years before the events of Knights I.
They've been in conflict with the Prometheans, the Seperatists, the Atlantean species, and the Netherean Supremacy.
Nethereans:
Created by Pyradin, these pale, grey-skinned humanoids are seen as genetically superior to humans across multiple cultures and creeds, even worshipped and romanticized in parts of the Linghun region.
Their dimension is set beneath the surface of the Earth, just above the mantle.
Nethereans are born with 80× the muscle density of the Atlantean species, and they're much taller than the average human.
The male nethereans are capable of growing to an average height of 7'10-9 ft tall, and are normally born with white, silver, black, or burgundy hair, while their female counterpart is capable of reaching an average height of 6'7-8 ft tall.
The female netherean is typically born with white, red, purple, or platinum hair, and they also sport more skin and face markings than most male nethereans.
Nethereans are able to wield the power of the flames from birth, capable of bending anything that emits heat, including:
Firebending (Typically Red-orange flames, but in rare cases a Netherean could bend flames of different colors, such as blue or white)
Lightningbending
Combustionbending
Heat/smokebending
Plasma
The only exception to this rule is Aether magic, as this form of power is not bestowed upon any race, but it is learned through the ways of sorcery.
