Meg's P.O.V.
The world was black, all black, but I could feel someone carrying me. I could also feel an extremely painful pain in my chest. Sun of a b-word, that hurts! Every time I was jostled, an exploding pain went down my chest. Whoever was carrying me needed to be more freaking careful! I was in extreme pain until the jostling stopped, and I was laid on a soft table. Ahh, that felt good. Wait, why was I on a table?!! An idea started forming in my mind. Hmm...
OW OW OW!!!
I felt a scalpel digging into my chest.
Then a cool liquid flooded my veins, and I felt immediately better. Then I blacked out.
When I halfway awoke once again, there was only a dull pain in my chest. I tried to open my eyes, but they wouldn't open. There was a beeping noise that was driving me crazy. I felt doctors touching me and stitching me up or something. Then the annoying beep stopped, but was replaced by a long beep that just continued on. Erg, why couldn't the doctors make that beep stop?! Wait..... where was I? What was even happening?
Suddenly , I felt a bunch of what felt like..... electricity maybe?..... flood my body. OW OW OW OW OW OW OW OW! That hurt so bad! My back arched on the bed from the electricity. The only good thing was that the annoying continuous beep had stopped and had been replaced by beeps like every two seconds. Grrr , the doctors needed to stop that beeping! Wait.... Something wasn't right.
Suddenly, the cool liquid filled my veins again, and I passed out.
When I awoke again, the steady beeping was still there, but it seemed softer somehow. I tried to open my eyes, and when I did, I wished I hadn't . I was in a hospital bed. The events from before now made sense. I was in surgery, the doctors stitched me up, my heart stopped, and they restarted my heart.
I sat up in the bed as a nurse peeked in.
"Great, you're awake!"
I nodded. "Yep."
"How are you feeling?"
"Could be better." I rubbed my sore chest.
The nurse laughed and said,"Well, that's to be expected , since you got a knife through the chest."
"And survived." I smiled.
Her smile dimmed a bit. "Yeah, that was a close one."
I nodded.
She said,"Uh... I had to tell you something else....... OH! Yeah, Uh someone's here to see you. She should be back in a few minutes."
I smiled. "Thanks."
The nurse smiled and waved, then left.
I sat up in bed and started drinking the coke a nurse had brought in earlier.
Summer walked in with her head down and tears flowing freely. "I knew it," she whispered.
Then she looked up and screamed at the top of her lungs.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
"WOAH SUMMER CHILL"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
"SUMMER! CHILL OUT!"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
"SUMMER! REFRIDGERATE YOURSELF!"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
"SUMMER! STOP!"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
"SUMMER! I WILL GET UP FROM THIS BED IF YOU DON'T STOP!"
"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" She whispered.
"Ugh!"
"Whaaaaaaaaat?! I must be dreaming!"
"No, you're not."
I started to get up, but Summer rushed to my side and shoved me back down on the bed. "Nu-uh! You will stay in bed! You just got freaking stabbed!"
I sighed.
"I'm fine, Summer. Jeez."
"No, you're not okay!"
"I'm fine." I spoke this stubbornly.
"You're not fine!"
"I'M FINE!"
"NO-no you're not." She whispered the last part."I'm fi-" I don't know what was happening. I felt very woozy. For the seventh time that day, I passed out.
