Summer's POV
Slap.
I turned around. "Really Meg?" I asked. She had gotten hit by a tranquilizer dart.I went to go pull her further away from the vent-hole thing, but something stopped me.
Why should I help her? She obviously only cared about Raven.
What? What was I doing? Meg needed me.
A burst of pride stuttered up my spine. She needed me.
Smirking, I started pulling her towards me, while Raven was just staring wide-eyed.
This is why she needs ME, not YOU, I thought.
I can hear you, Raven replied dryly. My blood turned ice cold and I dropped Meg.
Yeah, you really need to keep these thoughts to yourself, Raven said.
Kaelin, I whispered.In the flesh.
I always knew something was off about you! I screamed.
You should have figured it out sooner. You're such a bad friend, Raven/Kaelin taunted.
I am not! I yelled.
Check again.
I gulped and looked towards Meghan. She was being picked up and taken by FBI agents.
Noooo! I cried out.
Hahahahahahahaha, Raven/Kaelin laughed.
Who are you, really? I choked out.
A shapeshifter that works for.... People.
Not the government? I asked, confused.
Raven/Kaelin laughed.
Hahaha no. Anyway, Raven just happened to be trying to save her little twin, and she turned out to be the perfect shape. After she told me her backstory, anyway.
So you're not Raven? I asked.
No. I'm Kaelin.
Haha I will end you, I smirked.
No you won't.
You have no idea what I'm capable of.
My body turned machine like. Just like when I killed Bob.I killed him. I killed him. I ended his life...
Suddenly, the topic I'd been trying to avoid popped up, right in my face.
I'd killed someone. I'd killed someone.
I got some work to do, Rave-Kaelin said, and then disappeared.
I curled into a ball as Meg's dad tried to tell me something.
I had killed someone. I had killed someone, I killed someone. I killed someone. I killed someone. I killed someone. I killed someone. I killed someone...
Meg's POV
I woke up groggily. My head hurt, and I was so nauseous I was sure I would puke at any moment. When I looked around the room, I was even more nauseated.I was in a typical classroom, the blackboard, the whiteboard, the desks, you know, the works.
And there were people, but something was very wrong about them.
I leaned foward in my own desk at the very back of the room, but I was handcuffed to the seat, so I couldn't go very far.
I looked at the students, then at the teacher, and I realized what was wrong.
