Summer's POV

My vibrant green eyes opened slowly, as if unsure of themselves.

The white room was the same, but this time, on the desk there was a tray piled high with steaming food. My stomach grumbled and I realized I was ravenous.

I slowly lifted myself up on the bed, grunting at the effort. The smell of the chicken stew wafted towards my nostrils and I let my feet fall to the ground.

My legs crumpled under me and pain exploded in my chest. I breathed heavily and tried to maneuver onto my elbows.

The pain knocked the breath out of me as I accomplished my goal. The pain in my chest caused me to squeeze my eyes shut. My chest felt compressed. I felt like hands were on my throat and choking me and more hands holding me down and someone was stomping on my chest.

I rolled onto my back and stared at the ceiling as big, fat tears rolled down my cheeks in an everlasting stream.

Tbh, I didn't honestly know why I was crying. My memories were just out of my grasp.

I clawed weakly at my throat, trying to get those stupid hands off of me.

My world faded to black.

Meg's POV

Vibrant summer green eyes stared into mine. I grinned widely. The flecks in those eyes I knew so well sparkled with familiar joy.

Then those beautiful eyes blinked. In an instant, the warmth was gone. In its place was a sinister kind of innocence. The kind that makes your heart stop. The kind that makes you run away.

An innocence so warped, all hope is lost.

I blinked repeatedly and stumbled backwards a couple steps.

Her grin turned into a lopsided frown. She tilted her head slightly. "Meg, why couldn't you save me?"

I was at a loss for words. "I-I-I," I stuttered, tears pricking the corners of my eyes.

"You never could save me, could you," she spat and stared at me with distaste. I shook my head slowly and muttered,"No. I couldn't."

"As I thought," she sneered. Tears fell freely. I shook my head again. "n-no. You- you stop it right now," I stuttered weakly as a bile crept up my stomach and into my throat.

"How can I? I'm dead, BECAUSE OF YOU, remember?" she snarkily replied.

I shook my head again as more tears fell before I choked out,"Yes."

She walked closer to me. I stood still, transfixed. A slender hand closed around my throat, choking me. Her hand.

"S-Stop," I begged feebly. She didn't answer and just grinned that warped, lopsided grin.

I clawed at her hand. She swatted at me with her other one. "Now now, meg. We don't wanna do that, do we?" she asked. Black spots danced across My vision.

I brought my leg up and kicked her in the stomach. Her grip slackened as she stumbled backwards. I wrenched her hands off my throat and heaved in deep, haggard breaths.

She grapped my hair and pulled. I yelped and blindly hit my scalp, wanting her hands the heck off of me.

She held my hair up higher and my legs lifted off the ground. I kicked and cried out as blood ran down my head.

A droplet of blood went in my eye.

Summer disappeared and I fell to the floor, breathing heavily. A child sat in front of me, tears flowing freely.

"Why are you crying?" I tried to ask, but my body wouldn't obey me.

Suddenly my hand morphed into a gun. I tried to will it back to normal.

My hand moved up to her head. I looked away as a bullet raced out.

Glass shattered and I fell backwards. Summer was now where the girl was, her eyes wide and frightened. Duck tape was on her mouth and tears were on her pale, delicate face.

Please don't do it, She begged within our mind link.

Oh, but I will, I replied with a smirk.

My gun/hand went up to her head. Her eyes got wider and more tears fell.

Please, no!

Yes, I replied, my smirk growing. She squeezed her eyes shut.

I pulled the trigger.

Summer's hand pushed away the gun, which now morphed back to my arm. She was suddenly standing, looking tall and imposing.

She grabbed a big rifle off the ground and cocked it with a loud click that sent all my thoughts scattering except for one:

Escape.

I blindly took off as the scene changed. Trees surrounded me. I kept running, tripping over tree roots. Summer was always close behind, cackling evily.

She jumped up with inhuman strength and speed. Her feet landed on my back and sent me to the ground. The cold barrel of the rifle pressed against my temple.

She pulled the trigger.

~~~
I woke up screaming. Amy was staring at me as if I was insane. A hysterical laugh bubbled its way up my throat and I pushed it back down.
"Sorry," I said with a fake smile.
Amy eyed me suspiciously. "Are you okay?" she asked in her slightly British accent.
"Yeah," I lied easily with a scoff.
She kept eyeing me as she got comfy on my homemade couch-bed-thing. "Is that even comfortable?" I asked, pointing at it.
She laughed. "Not really." My laugh joined hers.
I thought I heard something in the distance and morphed my right ear into a deer's. Amy stared in awe.
Sirens. I heard sirens.
Crap! They found us!
I morphed my ear back to normal. Using my powers had become second nature. "We gotta go. Like now," I told her.
"Turn into a horse!" she commanded, flapping her arms. I raised an eyebrow but did as told. She leaped onto my back and delivered a kick to my ribs. "HEY!" I neighed angrily. "What?" she asks with an innocent look on her face.
"I UNDERSTAND ENGLISH, YOU CAN JUST TELL ME TO GO! YOU DON'T HAVE TP KICKED ME!" I retorted angrily, stomping a hoof and throwing my tail around.
"Alright, Alright, sorry," She replied. I nodded before taking off, leaving dust clouds in the dirt.
And, unfortunately, hoof prints.
