Sup, it's the author here. I just wanted to say that I will NOT be editing this book (I'm just too lazy tbh). Anyway, these chapters might be crap-tastic right now, but they get better, I swear. Happy reading!

I sat up straight in my black and purple bed, hearing my black and purple alarm clock blare GET UP GET UP GET UP YOU IDIOT YOUR GONNA BE LATE TO SCHOOL! MEG! I had made that one myself. It might seem harsh, but when your Death Day can come any minute, you can't afford to miss any second of any day. EVER. Speaking of not missing anything, if I didn't hurry and get out of bed, I might miss the bell right before the tardy bell! Jumping out of bed, I prepared to land on my feet, but something came with me and tripped me, making me fall on my face. Brushing off my black and purple pajamas, I looked to see what had tripped me: my homework fron the night before, uncompleted. Oh no! My monster of a teacher was gonna kill me! This would be my fifth day this week of not completing my homework. Yep, today was Friday, and I had not done my homework from last night. I don't know what kept happening, I would just get home, greet my parents and calico cat, Lily, text my best friend Summer for a few minutes, and sit down on my bed and start my homework. Within seconds each day, without fail, I would be asleep within seconds. I would wake up to my alarm clock, set at volume MAKE MY EARS BLEED, and my undone homework. I was shaken out of my thoughts as my alarm clock blared again: NOW YOU'RE  REALLY GONNA BE LATE! GET UP GET UP GET UP! GETUPGETUPGETUP! GEEETTT UUUUPPP GEEET UUUUUP GEEEET UUUUUP! MEHAAEG!

Erg! I had to get ready real fast. I pulled on black leggings and a short jean skirt that I had dyed dark-ish purple for an extra 10 dollars. I also shoved on my favorite long sleeve: a black long sleeve that went down to my wrists, the whole wrist part colored dark-ish purple, and a few purple hearts on the chest. Since it was hoodie weather, I also shoved on my favorite hoodie: it went down to just below the elbow, and it was darkish purple with black stars on it. With excuses in my head, I packed my backback. I ran downstairs and hugged my parents, grabbing breakfast to go. I said,"Love you, Mom, Dad, gotta go, gonna be late to school! Love ya!" Mom pulled me into a hug and said,"Luv ya sweetie! Have a great day at school!" I snorted, pretty sure that wasn't going to happen, given my undone homework and all. Dad did the same thing, and I said I loved them too, then shoved my favorite shoes on: knee high black converse with purple laces. I quickly ran a comb through my (you guessed it) black and purple wavy hair. I ran out the door and jumped on my (black and purple) bike. I pedaled faster than ever, but was still two minutes late. As I ran to my locker, guess who I ran in to? The principal! He was as mean as a little kid sitting on a cactus while he had to pee while his ice cream fell to the floor. I gulped and said,"Hi principal Fox!" I looked at his forehead and saw his Death Day: about 60 years from now. He was about 20, so that was pretty good, considering that most of the population died at 30 or less. Most of the time, less. I was startled out of my thoughts when Mr. Fox said,"NOW YOU ARE-oh... uh.. now you are.... uh.... get to class. uh.. don't do it again?" His voice went higher at the end, making it seem like a question. What? He would never- oh no. Fear enveloped me. Today could NOT be my Death Day. Na-uh! Just NO! Then I waved it off. Mr. Fox was probably just being off his rocker, like normal. I hurried to class. As I slipped into my seat, 20 pairs of eyes looked at me. And I knew. I knew. Today was my Death Day. I turned my unique black and purple eyes to my best friend's, Summer's, summer green ones. Tears spilled down her cheeks and into her wavy, yet very unique, even more than my own, ocean blue and summer green hair. Summer simply said one word,"Yes." More tears spilled down her cheeks, a fountain of grief. "Hey," I said softly. "I'm not dead yet." Feeling hollow inside, I went to my evil teacher's desk, Mrs. Skittles. She sounds nice, but she's  evil. Only in school, though. I've seen her at the store and stuff, and she's nice. But at school, she's a monster. Her favorite thing to say was,"You can't handle the rainbow! With all your excuses, you'll forever be in the clouds!" I shoved my unfinished papers on her desk and sat down without an explanation. Mrs. Skittles said,"OH. I SEE. YOU CAN'T HANDLE- uh... oh.. um... you can't handle.... the.... uh.... you can't handle not.... getting skittles!" She shoved like, four packets of skittles on my desk. I gave two packets to Summer and scarfed down the other two packs. I threw the wrappers on the floor just as the janitor, Jo, walked in. He said,"OH NO YOU DIDN'T! OH, YOUNG LADY, YOU- oh.... uh.... um..... erm..... uh..... Look at the time! gotta run!" and scurried out the door without picking up the paper. Don't ask why the people at my school are soo.... I don't know.... shouty-shouty. I wouldn't know. Neither would anyone else. I really don't understand how such violent people could get jobs at a school. I decided to take a nap. I was really tired, after all. I woke up when the end of first period bell rang. I shuffled to my second period class, not bothering to bring my school stuff. About 3 minutes in to second period, I realized that I would NOT spend my last day on EARTH in school! I just stood up and walked out of the classroom, Summer running after me. I walked right out of school, Summer jogging next to me. When she caught up to me, she said,"What are we doing?" I turned to her and said,"30 minute nap. Then, shopping trip. We'll probably get everything for free. Anyway, nap." I yawned. Summer smiled. "Sleepy, I see." I nodded. When we got to my house, I set my alarm clock and sank into my black and purple bed. Half an hour later, my alarm blared: MEG! WAKE U-UP! OH ME-EG! GE-ET TO-O THE-E MA-AL! I got up, pulled Summer up from the guest bed, which used to be in the guest bedroom, but was now in my room,  and said,"Let's go to the mall!
